Golfpark Karlsruhe is located on a high plateau and is easy to reach by car. The 18 hole named >>Classic Course<< offers pure golfing variety via topic variety. The holes 1 (>>Carpe diem - enjoy the day<<), 4 (>>Milan´s Horst<<), 10 (>>Fächerstadt Karlsruhe<<), 12 (>>Grand Canyon<<) or 16 (>>Sun, Moon and Stars<<) have to be emphasized here. Just before the end of your golf round, hole 17 (>>Long way<<) with 740 m length for men and 600 m for women (par 6) the longest golf hole all over Europe is challenging its conquerors.
Golfpark Karlsruhe also offers the 9-hole so called >>Modern Course<<, extensive training facilities as well as a fitness studio and a sauna area. By the way: Dogs on a leash are welcome to accompany you except for tournaments and competitions.

Varied, relatively new holes and fun bunkers!

We decided to visit the course quite spontaneously; just drive there and play, it'll work out, was our motto. At 11:30 on a Monday it can't be that busy - despite the nice weather. And so it worked out. At the very friendly counter, we were informed of several available tee times, and we took the first one straight away... paid the green fee, borrowed a trolley (for €10 they even had an electric trolley from Kiffe), and then waited on the first tee for our flight partners (who seemed a bit surprised at first). Well, we booked it at the last minute, so you can't exactly count on them. A very nice couple, they were club members, took us along for the round, and it turned out to be a very enjoyable round with "local knowledge." The fairways are very varied, and you play some really interesting holes in the somewhat hilly landscape. The whole course is still quite new, so some of the vegetation is still quite young. Several works of art adorn the fairways, and on at least three holes, the bunkers are very interestingly designed (hands, heart shapes, rays) and named ( "The Left and Right Hands of the Devil," etc.). Hole 17, for those who wish to play it, offers a par 6—reputedly the longest hole in Europe at 740 meters. Alternatively, you can bypass the back tees and play a relatively standard par 5.
Golf is a game, so a playful approach is exactly what I like. I really liked the course; its excellent condition shows that investment has been made and continues to be made. Apparently, there are 1,500 club members here, which seems quite high to me, because if everyone wants to play, tee times will be tight. It's all the more pleasing that we were able to play so easily.
The food afterward was also excellent, with prompt and good service rounding out our visit. Conclusion: definitely a recommendation south of Karlsruhe!

What I experienced there on June 8th, 2023 simply inspired me completely.
In the last 38 years I have played more than 450 golf courses on 4 continents.
From what I've seen in the (golf course) world, I say:
The Gut Batzenhof golf course is one of the best of the best!
Star #1:
The location is excellent. The golf park has excellent regional connections to the A 8 motorway (Karlsbad exit). The golf park is also very easy to reach from the surrounding area.
Star #2:
The configuration of the golf course is perfect: 18 holes plus 9 holes plus 6 holes short course plus extensive practice facilities. Everyone will find something that suits them here.
Star #3:
The terrain is made for an inviting golf course. The topography is slightly undulating. The moderate ups and downs of the fairways can also be easily mastered on foot by older people without any effort.
Star #4:
The fairways are perfectly planned and laid out in an equally perfect design. The fairway of the "Classic Course" is very varied and exciting in its game dramaturgy. After the round of 18 holes, I can still remember every single fairway.

The decoration of the Classic Course is spectacular! Where in Germany (or even in the world) are there so many smart accessories on, on and between the fairways? The Karlsruhe Palace, the Baden song, the bunkers shaped as hands and hearts, the green as a composition of sun, moon and stars, the fairy tale characters on a short path through the forest, and, and, and...

The clubhouse impresses with its clear architecture, its upscale equipment, its well thought-out functionality and, last but not least, its impressive size. The outdoor area with the large terrace, the attractive space in front of the entrance and the more than sufficient parking spaces can withstand any comparison with other golf courses.

The staff on the golf course practices the much-quoted (and often missed) "welcome culture" convincingly with friendliness, competence and helpfulness. The protagonists of the digitized golf course operation may cut my slice off!
All in all: The Golfpark Gut Batzenhof would definitely be my "home course". If it weren't for the 300 kilometers from where I live (there's probably no DGV pass with an "R" on it...)

Some holes are very interesting to play.
However, the long par 6 is not one of them.
Clubhouse, outdoor facilities, practice facility are really nice and plentiful.

It is also incomprehensible that you have to pay a significant surcharge on top of the green fee at Golf Absolute, even though you are a full member of a golf club (neither long-distance membership nor VCG player), if there is no golden hologram on the club ID.
I don't know that from any other place and it clearly gives you the feeling of being treated as a second-class player. A pity!
