Characteristics
Located within the secure perimeter of the Florennes Air Base, the Florennes Avia Golf Club (FAGC) offers a truly unique setting in the province of Namur. Founded in 1995 by Colonel Léon Sténuit, this club maintains a friendly, unpretentious atmosphere often described as "golf in its purest form." While the course consists of 9 holes played as an 18-hole Par 72, it is a test of strategy rather than brute force. The layout is known for being narrow and technical, featuring sharp doglegs on the shorter Par 4s and challenging Par 5s guarded by lateral water hazards. Elevated greens protected by bunkers add to the difficulty. Although situated on military grounds, the club welcomes civilian players to enjoy its warm clubhouse and practice facilities.
