Characteristics
Estela is one of the dune courses which snuggles against the dreamlike dunes of the coast of Minhos on a length of 3 km. Two great lakes give this course, which is difficult to play with wind, a personal touch.

A great links course in northern Portugal, about 40 mins north of Porto. Friendly and efficient staff with a good service attitude. They have clubs for hire and buggies on offer.
The course itself is quite tight and calls for precise drives and approach shots. It was in good condition, well maintained with fast greens. Thoroughly enjoyable and fantastic views.

A really interesting and challenging links course, especially in windy conditions.
The wide fairways and greens are well maintained and in good condition.
What is absolutely unacceptable, however, are greenkeepers who recklessly spray weed killer at a distance of about 50 meters before reaching the 18th hole, forcing you to inhale it. It's catastrophic.

Very, very nice links course right by the sea, with wonderful views. Typical links course, with many challenging holes. The biggest challenge is the wind. Then the place becomes a monster and demands all your skills. Still a lot of fun. And sure, Kingsbarns is a bit better, but also four times more expensive.
