Erster Golfclub Westpfalz Schwarzbachtal e.V. is located in the town of Rieschweiler-Mühlbach, almost 20 km to the west of Zweibrücken and 30 km south of Kaiserslautern.
EGW was built in 1988 on land from an old monastery with a 700 year old history.
The PAR 71 18-hole golf course is spread over 76 hectares and is played on 2 levels. This is a wonderful Parkland course with rolling fairways and large greens, the well positioned water hazards and shaped bunkers along with its unique terrain will test all golfers from a single handicap to novice.
Our Driving Range is perfect for practice. We have a grass hitting area for 30 golfers, 7 bays and a further 10 outside mat area. At the range you will find 3 putting greens, 2 chipping greens, a 60 meter pitching green and bunkers galore.
EGW also offers individual and group packages for all level of golfer.
Available to rent at the club are: electric carts with GPS, electric trollies and naturally pull carts.

The reason for not giving 5 stars was the driving range far to far away, what a shame. The coarse was in perfect shape and best green seen this season. Well done green staff. The club house and restaurant also without complaint. Hope to return next year.

Course was in beautiful shape and worth the green fees. I called on a Saturday afternoon for a Sunday morning tee time and the receptionist was very friendly and accommodating and got us a 0900 tee time on Fathers Day. We were paired with a couple of locals who spoke very little English but very friendly. Pace of play was decent; 4.5 hours walking. The course was a little hilly, but I found the fairways to be wide and the greens accessible. Will definitely be back!!

I have golfed Erster a couple times. We received a coupon for a 2 for 1 pass. this is by far the most beautiful course i have visited in germany. its a little drive from the kaiserslautern area, but well worth it. we did run into a tournament that we were unaware of, but the clubhouse worked with us and allowed us to play. they are extremely friendly and i would recommend this course to anyone. the price is average for these parts but the course is well maintained and it was worth it. i would recommend this course to anyone.
