Interesting night golf!

I was playing here on 30st of December, during the day, and on First of January, starting at 18,55. Both of them were on WADI GOLF COURSE. I saw a fox on the 5th hole, but only in the evening, not during the day. It wasn't any discussion about stink, or something. Everything was very well maintained and game's pace was very ok. The mareshall was perfectly honest and it was such a nice experience. The noise wasn't disturbing at all, the buggies were very ok, the facilities were very well maintained, even I was just a little bit dissapointed by the driver's mat for driving range (absolutely, I would preffer grass) .
Pro : try to play during the day on MAJLIS, and during the night on FALDO course. Another one : Red metro station NAKHEEL is just 50-100 meters to the golf course, you don't need a taxi.
CON : DO NOT buy anything from the golf shop from the clubhouse (there is a MAJLIS golf shop near the putting green, too) because they will try to cheated you! It was so low, as I won't play again there. Completely despicable, for me...
But, except these cheatters from GOLF SHOP, everything was very ok.

Faldo good place / Majlis too expensive

Played on 3/12/2023. The 36-hole course of the Emirates Golf Club is located in the south of Dubai, in principle directly opposite the Palm Jumeirah, behind the partly 14-lane expressway/motorway E11, which runs through Dubai from north to south. At least on the Faldo Course this can be clearly seen and, above all, heard. At the beginning of each year, a DP World or European Tour tournament takes place on the Majlis Course. You drive in the guarded entrance and briefly tell the security guard that you have booked a tee time for golf. The parking spaces in front of the clubhouse are divided into members and guests. If you want, you can also have your car washed while you're on the round. At the Bag Drop Off you can hand in your bags in advance. The clubhouse is modern and sophisticated. When you come in there is a reception which then sends you down to the golf reception. There is again a subdivision according to members and guests. The lady at the guest counter was very friendly and was happy to explain the process. The pictures of the victorious professional golfers with trophies from the last few years hang in the spacious men's locker room. Start times should definitely be booked in advance via the homepage or the VIJA app. The app also gives you special rates such as early bird or 2:1. We paid €155 per person for the round on the Faldo Course as an early bird. The cart is included (caution: do not leave any food uncovered in the cart, the crows are smart and watch the players, while you are on the green your cart and bag will be plundered) and balls on the range. As a guest on site, as on all golf courses in Dubai, you still have to pay AED 10.5 for a fee to the golf association. After you have paid, the cart with the bags is already at the driving range. The hustle and bustle was big when we visited, but well organized. It was full in both places on a Sunday morning. The start was every 10 minutes, one flight of four after the other. The game was still relatively quick. There are plenty of restrooms and service stations along the route where you can buy drinks and snacks.
The Faldo Course is pleasantly laid out, usually without villas around it and is the easier of the two courses. But there are enough challenges due to some water hazards, waste areas and well-placed bunkers. However, the really big highlights are missing. The challenge are the partially heavily undulated and fast greens. There is a risk of three putts at every hole. The condition was impeccable. It's not the course's fault if the players in front of you don't rake the bunkers and don't clear the pitch marks and dives. We didn't play the Majlis Course anymore due to time and cost reasons. The green fee is outrageously high and there are no real discounts. The normal green fee via the VIJA app costs €313, with a discount at certain times it is still €267. A sundowner is not offered. Even if it is tempting to play a course where the pros play every year, but due to the variety of courses in Dubai we preferred to play the rest of Dubai courses.

Faldo very well

Have played Faldo, were skeptical about the last reviews. But space is in great condition (02/26/2023). Clubhouse, Marshalls, Range, all perfect, super polite. We'd love to come back.

In addition to the normal round, they also added 9L night golf, well, you have to like that. It's funny for once, but we'll probably do without it.

Faldo falls off

It has now repeatedly struck us that the Faldo really can no longer keep up with the other places. The condition is borderline, deductions badly mowed, greens unkempt and much slower than normal in Dubai.

Street circuit

Played on 11/16/2022.
Place well maintained, only the greens were unkempt. Many pitch marks not repaired. All in all, it stays on track and is fast.
Oh here very high noise pollution from adjacent streets.
Therefore no four stars.

Faldo by night

Have played the Faldo course by floodlights.
The course is demanding and sometimes very tricky to play. There is a lot of water involved, some of which cannot be seen from the tea boxes.
The course is in excellent condition, but the greens were very slow for a European Golf Destination course.
The panorama along the skyline of Dubai Marina is spectacular and even more impressive at night. Members and guests are strictly separated in the clubhouse and restaurants.
Golf shop is very well stocked, if a little overpriced.

Poverty testimony

Space was great. Unfortunately we couldn't even have a bite to eat in the clubhouse after 18 holes because the kitchen was closed.
It's a no-go for this place at this price.
Greens were slow and every 3rd hole was difficult to play because of the renovation.
The service staff was not friendly. We didn't even get nuts with our drinks.

Faldo Course - Front Nine brutal

Have played Faldo again after a year, this time I liked better overall. The difference between front and back nine is blatant. Pars and birdies are possible at the back, you can catch one or the other triple at the front. Fairways and Vorgrüns partly crossed by clover, ugly! Orga is very professional and very friendly, there are always teas. Clubhouse with photos of all winners in the lockerroom and in the anteroom a gallery with winning clubs. The casual restaurant is good. - Emirates GC should play when you are in Dubai, the traffic is rather a constant noise.

Perfect golf day in the middle of Dubai

The Emirates Golf Club, with its two varied, well maintained and well managed squares, is still the best golf address in Dubai for me.
Very friendly staff, good range, a great clubhouse with several restaurants and a perfect golfing ambience left nothing to be desired.

Majlis - European Tour level

In vain the tour does not play in this place.
Fairways very tricky, for me today clearly too heavy!

Beautiful, varied holes, relatively small greens, but extremely fast.
I think the tour was here 2 weeks ago, there have been many decommissions today, that was annoying. The course has suffered through the tournament, I did not expect the hard bunkers.

The 5 stars are for the layout of the course and for the excellent greens.

Great place with imposing skyline

We played the course on 27.12.2017. Very friendly welcome and great service. We liked the place. Sometimes huge sand bunkers. Fairways in good condition. Greens perfectly maintained. If we travel to Dubai again, the place is on our list.

Faldo - super Skyline, course maintenance improvement

A well located place with the high-rise skyline of Dubai in the field of view. Loyout the place beautiful and sophisticated with plenty of water. Even the clubhouse, secretarial, catering excellent when the course maintenance would also be so excellent, the place in the whole would earn in any case even 5 stars.

Good - but not unusual

The club is situated on Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai's navel so on. The clubhouse is rather moderate, and unobtrusive. Except for the exterior façade rather unterklassig. Through this "main street" of Dubai's noise is almost unbearably loud. Also was a Turkish festival on the golf course area, which was not silent... The greens are perfect, the fairways in very good condition. Unfortunately, it stinks to share some of the very place, probably from the artificial lakes and maybe also because of irrigation. At the rate we have seen some foxes that are specifically native to the 11 and did not even run away when passing the buggy. Away from the fairways of the course is rather not so well maintained. The ever auftauschende Marshal beset the flight, although enough distance was backwards. I would rate the Dubai no longer visit

What has...

We have a couple early June 2009, played the Faldo course. There was just switched to summer green fees cost the only 300 dirham per person, or about 60, - € incl Cart. The course was in very best condition, very well maintained and there was very little going on. The service is excellent, icebox in golf cart on every tee chilled drinking water, chilled towels at half time. Staff is very friendly! However etiquette should be observed. On 1 Tee, I was advised to put my polo in the pants! However, it has given me to understand that it would be out of sight then leave me to take it out again. :-)
Definitely a very good place!
