Expected better
3.0 of 5 starsReviewed October 10, 2020
We were playing there during our annual tour with friends. In first place have to admit, they have nice accommodation there for reasonable price. Organization wise they need big improvement. How can you book someone for teetime at 8:00 and open reception for checking at 8:00 as well? Restaurant and clubhouse is ok food nothing special just OK. Course landscape and design is very challenging, like the speed of the green. Navigation on the course could be better. The price they charge for the green fee is a bit overpriced. Compare to Adamstal they need to improve the price and service.

Many thanks for your evaluation and fort he suggestions.
Referring to this we would like to reply; the opening hours of our office is normally/always 30 min. before the first guest tee off. One exeption - for our hotelguests we offer preferred tee-times, it they wish and when they are already booked or checked in (min. day before).
One another important feedback, our hotelguest we offer a real good discounted greenfee-rate. In our opinion - the daily greenfee-rate for our real championship-coure is more than fair, the conditions are always more than average.
Hope we can convince you very soon once again.

Atzenbrugg Golf Course,?? A Lovely well kept course. Wind or not, Beware of the Lakes.!! A few Tight Par 3,s. Fair Par 4, s, & great Par, 5,s. A course that gives Everyone a chance to Score Well. (Including Me)Facilities are Good, Staff are friendly & Helpful. This makes a big difference.
Yes. indeed, whoever decided to make this place into a Golf Club, has indeed made a Good Job of it..
Added attraction in August are the Wild Mushrooms (Edible) & probably the best in all of Beautiful Austria.
Im certainly coming again & again.
Certainly 5, Full Red Stars. WOW!!!

Lots of water, fast greens
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed July 15, 2024
The well-maintained and very difficult course impresses with great fairways that require a highly concentrated game. Lots of water, large bunkers and lightning-fast greens are the hallmarks.
The fairways 6,7 and 18 are very nice.
Unfortunately, it's not enough for 5 stars, as I prefer hilly places with the wow factor and the view of the factory complex isn't the prettiest.
However, the place is definitely recommended, a must in Austria.
The office was very friendly, the food was great and the adjacent hotel was recommended!

Top site!

We played the course with a club member (very friendly) at the beginning of September 2021 and were absolutely thrilled. The state of care is absolutely impressive, especially since you don't see a greenkeeper on the entire lap and are not disturbed by it. The greens are very fast, demanding and directional. The whole atmosphere exudes a certain nonchalance in which you immediately feel welcome. The environment is not really appealing, but the design of the square makes up for the unsightly sight. A trip to Atzenbrugg is definitely worth it - definitely play!

Dear reviewer, thank you very much for your time and great rating - we were very happy to receive your extremely positive assessment of our greens and course design. We particularly find the chosen term "nonchalance" (that's how we want to be perceived) to be very apt!
We, the entire DCC team are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us so much and we hope to see you soon!
Until then

If only it weren't for the area...
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed August 1, 2021
The Diamond Country Atzenbrugg is and will remain one of the best-maintained places in Austria, you can only praise what the greenkeepers have achieved during this crazy summer this year! Of course it's not an easy place, but despite the heat it is easy to negotiate. You should only be true to direction, otherwise you are not only out of bounds but also out of balls until the round is over...
Also positive: the receptionists are extremely nice and friendly (that wasn't always the case!), The gastronomy is extremely appealing.
Unfortunately, the environment is ugly and the Krems-Chemie shunting track makes so unprepared noise that you winced at the cut-off.
One more little thing: The green fee prices should be "harmonized": Book through golf. At prices between € 120 and 150 (interestingly different for the individual persons of the same flight!), if you look at the HP, you can hardly find the GF prices and then receive € 100/120 as GF, what Incidentally, also identifies Albrecht-Golf.

Certainly one of the best in Austria, if you should have the opportunity, you have to play the course. Despite the great heat and long drought, the facility is in excellent condition and couldn't be better.

Beautiful golf course
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed July 22, 2020
A well-kept place, which was pleasant to play.
Flat, with slightly undulated fairways, the greens anything but easy.
The water holes in particular are worth seeing, but otherwise they are also unspectacular courses.
Signposts are absolutely necessary to find further. Everything was after the initial question mark, but then easy to find.
Arrived at the parking lot from the outside absolutely inconspicuous and rather with "well".
If you then come through the reception building into the indoor area, it is like a different world than from the outside.
As I said, the first time everything was a bit confusing.
Reception and service in the restaurant very friendly and everything in time.
Food was good, but I've seen it better.
Unfortunately the boathouse was closed.
Accommodation in the apartments is recommended in summer with air conditioning!
Food was too

Discrepant
2.0 of 5 starsReviewed July 31, 2019
Here simply does not fit the price / performance ratio. Green fee 130, - Euro, because I'm a member of a small golf club. The reception incompetent - the summer trainee does not know, the young receptionist is arrogant. In the restaurant, misery and misery serve you at a snail's pace. The place is nice but not exciting. The condition is very good. I'm sorry for me Atzenbrugg is not consistent.

Price performance bad for CoutryCourse
2.0 of 5 starsReviewed July 30, 2017
Played on 28.7.2017 The first 12 holes are so far ok, some of them are still very new. The route to the 13th leads across the halfway. After the 13th is chaotic: missing signpost, in the wrong direction pointing signpost, Infotafel with lettering "Parkkurs" make the Golfrunde to a frustrating experience. The current operations at the CountryCourse do not meet the expectations of a EuropeanTour destination. The GF with € 65 I find excessive.

Great place, unfortunately just not in good condition
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed June 28, 2017
The Diamond Course is undoubtedly one of the best in Austria. It has many interesting trails and plenty of water to offer. The greens were really top.
Unfortunately, the fairways were in miserable condition. Each track showed large, burned spots. It was so bad that a greenfee discount would be appropriate.
The environment does not give much (railway, power station). That would not have stopped me from just five stars. But with this state I can not give more than four points.

Once a year a must
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed May 27, 2017
The golf course (Diamond Country Course - 18 holes) is certainly one of the top courses in Austria. The office is very nice, the area great maintained and the restaurant (especially the Boathouse) as well as the accommodation possibilities very good. Great is also that dogs on the complete facility are allowed. Due to the European Tour destination, however, the course is often very crowded. We will be back!

Parkland Course with optical defects
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed August 29, 2016
Very nice and well-kept parkland course. No flowers - for everything around lush green (or blue if water). Unfortunately, the traces of the II WW are still clearly visible - incomprehensible to me that you can not grow the Flakturmruine the 10th green. Have played places with more history of the war in Normandy and Jersey - there was the, if not integrated into the game, piled up and planted. The place is very difficult for amateur golfers. If it is not possible from the tee to get on the fairway, you can already forget the hole. Also coming to us players to HC 20 often water insSpiel where one no longer expects. Perhaps you know it the 2nd time better. Tees, fairways expected advantages and greens like a place in this price range.

A top site with a few limitations
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed August 25, 2016
I can report good and bad. The system is certainly one of the best in Austria, with regard to the difficulties and the course management. The service in the reception is best and courteous, the same employees 5 are hours later and no longer able to go to one in the pro shop at hand, therefore, we have this time the obligatory reminder Polo just not purchased.
The service in the restaurant, however, is to the end well.
The course is presented in various states with regard to the greens.
The fairways are however perfectly playable and also well maintained.
The Diamond Course has, not only because of its length and the water that pretty much comes to each hole into play, so its pitfalls. This place has to be played with a lot of brains, risk does not pay in most cases.
All in all a top site.

Had expected me more
3.0 of 5 starsReviewed August 19, 2016
The course will be hosting the European Tour promises but some can not hold it.
Upon arrival everything seemed very pompous, great clubhouse, friendly reception, spacious exercise facilities. On the Range you have to look with a magnifying glass playable Grass surfaces already.
We opt for the black tour haircuts does not even make the long and difficult course easier - but it should be an experience. Although, according to online system, everything is booked, a few players are in front and behind us on the square, as falling off some pressure. The length of the fairways are impressive, the layout is also very successful. Almost everywhere water comes into play or there are bushes and reeds on the fairway edge.
The environment does not fit the noble ambience of the chimney of a power plant towers over the square, a transport path runs right next to the fairways and again you stumble over the remains of bunkers etc.
The fairways are not really close cutting, it is hardly roll on the ball, which roughs are pestig that bunker partly quite unkempt. This also applies to the areas off the fairways, the bushes are located next umpteen balls and empty plastic bottles, which must really not be. The Greens make no class Eimdruck, numerous poorly patched pitch marks, different tempo tracks from the sands.
All in all I would have angebl of one. Top site a better state expected.
The restaurant is again class, fast service, friendly waiters, excellent quality and moderate prices.

Golf: Although he looks a bit torn on the layout, rather wait nice holes. The lack of length is also made up again by undulating greens.
Place State: Fairways ok. Greens pretty hard and fast. Reductions in weak condition.
Conclusion: The 9-hole course is a positive surprise.

Except for small weaknesses
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed August 24, 2015
Is this place something special. Of course, the chance to go home frustrated, great, because the place is difficult to play, it is long and demanding - but you know that when one breaks forth. We (4 not famous players) have still enjoyed the round and subsequently had the feeling to have fought well.. you should not miss to afflict him without one stands balls sold the place is something. The place is well maintained, in spite of the crazy summer, the greens perfectly. A couple of things bother: The environment - I can only agree with the other reviews - is really part breathtakingly ugly. The green fee with 100.- weekend is on the threshold of pain, but the Hospitality is very good and affordable. Overall, quite an experience.

Must not get for
2.0 of 5 starsReviewed October 17, 2014
Upon arrival I was not being received enthusiastically, the question of a trolley was almost indifferent answered with: "take just any"
Difficult course, as in the landing zone of the drives water often comes into play. So the second shot is often longer than the tee. Place good condition, the greens pretty fast for my taste.
The industrial chimney of chemical plant (!) Next door's almost the Signature View of the square. At a discount, a freight train went no 10m away tantalizingly slowly over the subsequent pop as crashed two cars came straight during my swing.
When I wanted to play my approach on the 18, I saw several flags, as the pitching green is directly behind the 18th green. Unfortunately, I could not recognize which flag stood on the green, as all were the same color. When I got to the green, I was able to admire behind deposited materials. A logo ball then I could not buy because (allegedly) was not there anymore. "Determined in next time." Certainly not! The last impression is the one that sticks in your memory.

Golf: A sporty very demanding course, the environment can not keep up because, unfortunately. The roughs are vicious and poisonous. Long holes and especially on the 2nd Nine waits almost every corner water.
Location status: I would have expected from a European Tour course more.
Conclusion: Certainly a very difficult-to-play space, but remains even after repeated playing below expectations.

We played 2 days after the European Tour, where the greens were not as fast, but the place is presented in a wonderful condition. The layout of the individual holes correspond certainly Tour level, with the opening hole already everything from space-shooter (lots of water - Hcp 1)!
The course requires a lot of precision and you should play more than once to be tactically prepared.
Large drawback - the view of manufacturing plants in the first 9 holes - which unfortunately abmindern the overall impression!

During our visit, the greens were perfect! However, I find that with the exception of some holes, the place is a little repetitive!
It is expected simply in advance laurels something that is unfortunately not met very special! Above all, the environment is partly quite "graussig" and so we were slightly disappointed! But you can play with the Leisuare Breakfast Two for One, puts the matter somewhat. Price - performance fit somehow. But'm to be honest I'd rather pay more and play a top spot!
Almost 4 stars but only almost!

Unfortunately, far below expectation
3.0 of 5 starsReviewed September 16, 2013
Unfortunately, the overall impression was very far below expectations, and the place itself was well worth seeing as such. But perhaps also unhappy at the same time results in several shortcomings.
So the greens were not in good condition, the hotel stay was more than disappointing. Service, cleanliness and breakfast for such a shockingly bad environment.
Demonstration of the defect are met with smiles, but unfortunately without any apparent regret.

Woe unto the wind blows
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed May 24, 2012
Place very good condition, fast greens. Around the lake 14/15/16 very nice holes. We played the course on a day with a lot of wind, and then it becomes difficult. A straight ball is then quickly in the water or in the bushes. A real challenge.
Restaurant and reception very good and friendly.
