On our annual trip to Adamstal we always play course before and it has to be one none of us ever played. This year I choose Ottenstein. Many years we were passing bye and had no idea that there is such a great course. Course its very easy to find its close to the highway. Parking lot is big enough and next to club house and training areas. It also offer today standard, charging for EV.
Check in was very pleasant, staff was really professional and help a lot. We took a deal fee and lunch for 10 Eur, can only recommend cause lunch had 3 courses and was very tasty. AS always we did not go to training areas however they were close and big enough. Putting green showed the quality and speed of the future putts and we liked it. Now to 1st tee. From the start I enjoy it. Course was not easy but many interesting shots, not a losing balls here unless you put it in water hazard. Front nine is more for long hitters and kind of warm up nine. I enjoyed better the back nine, up and down shots you need to thing and be accurate and aware about your distance. If I have to choose signature hole I would probably pick some on back nine. Maybe hole number 11 cause its blind shot and it push you to be fearless.
Anyway I enjoy the whole course and quality of it, as well as 19th hole. You can take also dog on the course so that is one star more from my side. Definitely coming back one day.

Well, I imagine something different when I think of LEADING! It is an average place in the middle of nowhere.
If you book a tee time and a cart 6 days in advance, it should work out. Neither! As it was a weekday, I was lucky and was able to play with a nice couple. The cart was also free - highly recommended in this heat. Nice gesture from reception and a pleasant day of golf.

First of all, Ottenstein is located in a beautiful area, which is why it is worth driving there. In addition, on really hot summer days you can enjoy the fact that it is 5-10 degrees cooler in the Waldviertel than in the city. You will be greeted in a friendly manner on site and everything will run smoothly. Exercise facilities are excellent. Course is not one of the longest, but very varied and quite treacherous. Course maintenance: wonderful, brisk greens, juicy fairways (this summer!) and if you land in the rough, you should forget the ball... If you have mastered the course with decency, you will be rewarded with one of the best golf restaurants in Austria, sitting in one Terrace with stunning views and enjoys. It seems the owner is starting to expand towards the golf resort, revitalizing a neighboring building and rumored chalets are coming. One can only hope that the characteristics of the course in the largely untouched nature will not suffer as a result.
