Played on October 12th, 2020. The 18-hole course is 17 km behind the German border. If you drive on the A4, past Aachen, you take the first exit in Holland. From there you drive a while to the golf club, whereby the streets get narrower and narrower afterwards and if it weren't for signs you would think that there can't be a golf course anywhere here. The advantage is that the entire facility is in peace and nature in the middle of fields and forests. Holes 4 to 9 and 17,18 meander through dense ingrown forest as a real parkland course. Especially the lanes 10 to 16 seem to be a bit newer part and are then more open, but a little more hilly (cart not required for normal athletes) than the first 9 rather flat lanes. On the front 9, a mighty tree can then stand in the middle of the fairway. Otherwise there are a few water hazards, including an island tee-off on the 7th. Easy doglegs, well-placed bunkers or one or two blind strokes on the back nine make the game varied. The specification on the PAR 71 course is surprisingly low from my point of view. Most of the tees are relatively open, but you shouldn't spread too much because of the trees and bushes. Higher HC should rather choose the front tees. The condition of the railways was different. Due to the wetness of the past few days, the place was generally very damp. In addition, some fairways, especially on Front 9, were not mowed. It was better on the back nine because it was probably less frequented. Most of the tees looked a bit worn and you often had to look for suitable places for the tee. The greens were flawless, loyal and relatively fast. There is a small, relatively narrow driving range with around 10-12 mats tees. The range balls are free and you can take as many balls as you want from the provided tubs. The green fee for guests is € 67.50 regardless of the day, which is OK for the weekend, but a little too high for weekdays, but in addition to the free range balls, you also get a small stroke saver for the scorecard. The Strokesaver helps because unfortunately there are no visual tees on the lanes. You pay the nice, also German-speaking, employee in the clubhouse / secretariat by going through the restaurant (not tested). The clubhouse is more functional, but everything is there. The game on a Monday morning was brisk but not overcrowded. As a single player, I was able to play through relaxed with almost no waiting times until I was 18. The members I met greeted friendly.
