Great Course

Fantastic Layout with plenty water hazards, very good greens, the only down point is the location close to the motorway. I will come back!

De Peelsche

The landscape is one of the most beautiful sceeneries. Much water, beautiful trees and many birds and ducks. The holes are quite hard to play. But for an experienced golfer it is one of the best courses in the neigbourhood.

A highlight at the end of winter

We have on 5.3. played the front nine there. We were received very friendly. Both at reception and by members present. The summer greens were open. Water came into play, but quite manageable. Lane 8 deserves a special mention here, as the tee shot has to be blind.
All in all, a very nice lap and a repeat is not out of the question.

Nice flat area near Venlo

Played on 6/28/2021. The flat 18-hole course with driving range is located approx. 20 km behind the German border west of Venlo, right next to a Landal holiday park. It is not far from the A67 motorway, which you can unfortunately hear clearly on the layout on one or the other train. Otherwise, the system impresses with the many natural water hazards (most of them on the back nine) where many different water birds have settled. The individual tracks are mostly varied. There are a couple of nice doglegs, hole 3 is a narrow parkland hole and 15 (par 3) impresses with its island green. Hole 16 requires very strategic play with water and a dogleg on a strongly raised green with a large bunker landscape in front of it. Most discounts are open, so that higher HC should be able to handle them. Because of the water hazards, there should be a few more balls in the bag. The maintenance condition was generally OK, even if a lot of clover and daisies (e.g. lane 10) grow on some fairways and there was one or the other bald spot. A few men's tees were a bit worn. Most of the greens were in very good condition, fast and faithful. The game on a sunny Monday afternoon after a thunderstorm was manageable. On the homepage you can see the booked and free start times. I had reserved a start time by email and received a response very quickly. Usually there is little activity in the afternoon and there is a reduced green fee from 3 p.m. The standard green fee of € 60 is reasonable on weekdays and on weekends. The lady at the counter was friendly. The clubhouse is functionally OK, the plumbing is a bit old. On the terrace of the restaurant in front of the 9 and 18 green sat some members who looked satisfied. If you want, you can end the round after 14 or 15 holes, as these greens, like the 9, also end at the clubhouse. I can recommend the round in de Peelse without hesitation if you are not expecting a noble meadow and are not afraid of the strategic game around one or the other water hazard.

Much water!!!

A beautiful golf course with interesting tracks and holes. Unfortunately, the Fairwys are characterized by many bald spots, which still seems to be a legacy of the summer of 2018. Otherwise absolutely recommendable. The staff of the secretariat and the restaurant are very friendly and invite you to another visit. We will be back.
