The reception was very nice and we were able to start without tea time. The course, which is located in the immediate vicinity of a huge diamond mine, is characterized by old trees and also a bit agitated. As a result, as a European you always have the excuse that you wanted to play in the shade, if you did not hit the fairway. The green of the course 1 is defended not only by bunkers, but also by large trees. The greens are in good condition, fast and demanding. For the 18 hole game there are also 18 separate tees, which are almost always well marked. Unfortunately, there is no overview at the clubhouse or on paper, so that in the first round in particular the tee 4 is hard to find. A nice greenkeeper showed us the way. You leave the guarded and fenced area and find yourself high above the square again and now has the requirement to hit the track across the many trees. For the great view but worth climbing the stairs. A special idea awaits you at the tee of the course 8 (short par 3 with a deep green that framed by bunkers, trees and water will be precisely played). There is a large menu and via an intercom system you can pre-order your breakfast, so that after 9 (or 18) holes immediately strong and good can strengthen - great decor, especially as the restaurant and the terrace invite you to linger. Firing in South Africa is a bit strange anyway given the prevailing drought. But on a golf course, the smoke and the smell of the fire that lingers for days on end disturbs you tremendously.
