Fantastic Course, Friendly people
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed May 25, 2013
My husband and I have played this course 6 times now. Last year we played the new 3 holes, which have made it a full 18, for the first time. Although these holes had only just opened they were in lovely condition and real care and attention had been taken with the buidling of the tees etc.
The condition was good (even though we played it in October)
We are going to be playing it again in June this year and looking forward to it very much.
There is nothing nicer than walking down a fairway with the sea to your left and mountains to your right and hearing cow bells in the distance, absolute bliss

A pleasant surprise
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed October 1, 2025
What a pleasant surprise: A golf course that doesn't need to shy away from comparison with the one in Llanes—quite the opposite. It enjoys a similar setting on a magnificent plateau, with the Picos de Europa to the south and a view of the sea as far as Ribadesella and Llastres to the north. The course is rougher than the one in Llanes. "Agreste," as the Spanish say, in the best sense of the word. It's in absolutely perfect condition.
The fairways are wide, which is why I (HC 22) hardly lost any balls. The grass doesn't look like English grass, but it's pleasant to walk on and plays well now, in September 2025. The roughs are low, making it easy to find your balls, but punishing a bad shot severely. There's a constant threat of a ravine, a slope, or rocks. You're always on a slope. The greens are difficult to read, always elevated, and demand a perfect shot. The fairway design is occasionally pleasantly different.
Surprisingly, this course is quite relaxing, despite being hilly. It's a plateau, as the name suggests. However, the last four holes, all par 4s, are a real challenge for the body. I played the course in pleasant 24 degrees Celsius. It might be different in blazing sunshine!
The restaurant is quite acceptable. I highly recommend the rice pudding for dessert. The location is breathtaking, the people are very friendly, and all the facilities are as expected. The course is worth every euro of the green fee. Incidentally, it's privately owned and not part of the municipality.

Very relaxed
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed January 3, 2022
Not much has changed since the last review.
Wooden hut and a small restaurant - that's it.
But... you can play a very relaxed round of golf. The fairways and greens were OK, the view is great. It's not a well-maintained course, but you play without T-Time, the players are relaxed and the atmosphere is easy-going.
We were also able to spend the night here with the mobile home - in absolute peace.
We'd love to come back again.

Unkempt space
1.0 of 5 starsReviewed October 29, 2014
The only nice thing here is the landscape and the outlook on sea and mountains. have the space in October 2014 played: there is no clubhouse, but only a wooden hut with a beverage machines. the fairways were put great part brownish with many bare. kastastrophal hole 15, which was a single acre. obviously there are all over the place no fairway irrigation! greens are irrigated and are big part ok. weak consolation was that compared very cheap green fee (€ 23, -. for 18-hole to the money you can, however, also ensure no proper space to care!

Breathtaking views
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed September 30, 2010
I've been playing for two consecutive years on the court. At present, the system comprises 15 holes, the last three have been this summer (2010) under construction.
Landscape, it is probably one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. On the 5th green on the left you can see the Atlantic Ocean, on the right rise the mountains of the Cantabrian coastal mountains, with a corresponding distance vision you can see the snow-capped peaks of the Picos de Europa.
A special highlight is a pack of deer that have established themselves on the court and provide the backdrop for beautiful photos. With appropriate caution, the player can approach animals come down to 20 meters per se.
The place is anspuchsvoll but not unfair, the rustic restoration has very moderate prices.
Only in August, it can be quite busy in the afternoon, so you better dodge the late morning as the start time.
