We arrived at the Lido by vaporetto (very crowded) and took a taxi across the island to the golf course (to the south).
We were warmly welcomed and our wish to drive the cart at short notice was also fulfilled.
The place is laid out in a huge park. Only once could I (over a fence) see the sea in the distance. The holes are short but not easy to play (a 2nd round would be easier).
Although at the end of July there was already a lot of leaves on the fairways (making it difficult to find the ball). The water hazards were - apart from the crossing lagoon - almost completely dried up and therefore there were hardly any ball losses.
The Campo Circolo Golf Venezia is a gem, certainly worth a short trip and is now one of the most beautiful courses in Europe for me.

The greens could also like to be even faster! A careful facelift would do the old place good in some corners!
