...the classy, extremely spacious resort and the two Greg Norman Courses, nothing is missing!!!
The great thing is that it is an open area with no buildings and plenty of space to play.
The course maintenance was perfect, the best we have seen and played so far on this two-month trip to Florida - all that's left is the stream song!!
The International Course was built in links style, with holes with lots of small, poisonous bunkers in the fairway, on the edge of the fairway and in front of the greens, but also without bunkers. Some of the greens are below average in size, with almost mean shapes and therefore very difficult to play. They were great to play, but brutally difficult - the ball rolled, rolled and rolled... like in Scotland.
You could think we were there, but the weather, the temperatures and the water that comes into play every now and then, as well as the silhouette brought us back to reality.
The course offers 400 yards per hole from the back tees and was playable for all men; the ladies chose a white/gold combo.
The National is a little tamer - from the back tees - not quite 400 yards - larger, but not as many bunkers. The course leads north past woods and has no water. It is a very long, drawn-out 18 holes.
Staff simply perfect.
We stayed here and played both courses twice.
The clubhouse is located on White Shark Blvd - what else could it be called!!!
