very difficult golf course at around 20$ green fee

the course is layed out into hilly country with beautiful views into the blue ridge mountains. it offers great golf. the first nine holes are very difficult to play, especially the fairways. most of them are heavily sloping on one or sometimes on both sides. so it's hard to keep the ball on the fairway. the 2nd nine are a bit more forgiving. playing the course the first time is a real challenge, because of many blind shots, with bunkers well placed.
greens are fast and undulated. good sand in the bunkers. the course is in good shape and can be walked. very reasonable green fee at around 20$ (october, off season)
