We were very sceptical reading the old reviews. Drive there is rather adventerous, but once there, the place is perfect.
Not that easy to play, rather narrow. But in perfect condition with nice people.
„Go there!“ would be my recommendation!
Also the restaurant is nice, with the best Pizza I had on the Riviera.

THE CASTELLARO GOLF CLUB HAS NEVER BEEN CLOSED!!!
Only the hotel was closed during the winter season and it's now oper as well.

A new real estate development with the course to add value. Only 9 holes in a "hole" under the motorway and with no real climatic or scenery benefit. ome tricky holes, course well kept but without real charme.

After reading the reviews we were prepared for the worst but actually the day turned out to be a very pleasant experience.
The staff is friendly, helpful and smiling and the course proved challenging even in the apparently simpler holes.
Surely for those who are not used to steep ups and downs it is advisable to hire a golf cart.
I will definitely come back also because the climate of the extreme west of Liguria is fabulous even in late November!

After beautiful golf courses on Lake Garda and Sanremo, we have also decided on this course. We should have listened to a player's note "The place is broke!" We have never seen such a ramshackle golf course. That they have opened here at all - a cheek! Even the low green fee of € 40 cannot comfort me. We'd rather pay more, but then have a great golfing experience.
Some of the bunkers are overgrown, sidewalks and stairs are broken, billboards are so rotten that you can’t read anything.
There was no golf ball cleaner on the tee.
Please save yourself the trip to Castellaro!
