In the small town of Mogro, located in one of the most beautiful and charming places of the Cantabrian Sea, is the golf course of Abra del Pas – Celia Barquín, a place where the golfer can enjoy this sport in a comfortable, quiet and calm.
The field is 8 kms from Torrelavega and only 15 kms from Santander.
It is called Abra del Pas because it’s located precisely at the mouth of this river, which surrounds the countryside. In addition to playing golf, the golfer can enjoy the beauty of its surroundings because the route is surrounded by forests and dunes of fine sand which turns the streets of the countryside into real meadows.
A course of 18 holes and par 70. The field has gentle climbs and descents, a large lake that affects 6 holes and helps in the drainage of the field and in the strategy of the game.

Something to do while waiting for ferry

Chose to play this course as a stop gap between leaving our hotel and a late ferry crossing, its very easy to get to just off the E67 and the course wasn't very long so thought it would make an enjoyable round of golf for a high handicapper with easy walking as mainly all flat.
We turned up without booking (weds 14th October) and was able to play straight away (although it was the busiest course we played on all holiday). We were very surprised when the receptionist only asked for 9 euros each to play, this may have been because there was a lot of work going on to improve the course at the time which didn't spoil the round, I loved this course because it wasn't to long all the low lying holes had water hazards in play which makes for a very thought provoking round of golf and the 5th, 6th and 7th holes the only ones on a hill are brilliant.
After the round we had a three course meal with wine and coffee in the clubhouse over looking the course for only 13 euros each and it was lovely, I recommend everyone to play this course and enjoy the hospitality.

- PERSONNEL excellent service. (They are not guilty of anything).
- It is not finished properly.
- Greens like drums, not all.
- incomplete, bumpy and very hard Tees.
- The "streets" NEW, they do not deserve that name, GRANA kick on tons to have good lawn. Before you chop them and then water daily. Furthermore they are narrow and tall grass lined with escajos. We often see gangs looking balls... unrecoverable. The old (1,2,10,11,12,15,) without damaged streets. Every little grass and much margarita. What the field reformed?
- Bunkers bad sand and shallow.
- Personal foul, adequate machinery and money.
