great course, very slow play

there are very mixed feelings about a very special course.
the course, located in a beautiful scenery, is in good shape. the rough-grass though is pure glue, you better stay on the fairway.
the first 9 holes are ordinary golf, located in the flat valley – nothing really to write home about. the 2nd 9 though, in very hilly landscape, are simply breathtaking – world class !!! – very difficult and fun golf and some holes you will never forget!!!
and also to mention: very friendly and helpful staff.
two things are a big minus:
if you walk the course, you pay for the cart anyway. the course can be walked but the 2nd 9 are strenuous. maybe consider to pick a cart after 9 holes.
the 2nd thing is the slow pace. yes, we have been warned in advance! don't be surprised if it takes 6 hours to play 18 holes (weekends are even worse, i have been told). reason: it's a holiday resort course, and this clientele does not care what happens behind them.
the flight after us (what a luck!) we didn't see anymore until hole 19... arriving 1,5 hours later. imagine, you have those guys in front of you. the sheriff told us: "we want to keep everybody happy"... what about the happiness of those behind the slow players???
for the slow pace, minus 1,5 stars
