Going downhill rapidly

Great course being ruined by Edinburh Leisure. Greens are in shocking state. Tees no better. Course is in danger of becoming a big miss for many people. So expensive to play at the weekend with no facility for inviting guests if you are a season ticket holder.

Beautiful view over Edinburgh

Up and down, impenetrable bushes but beautiful and fun to play. Be sure to have a lot of balls when you tee off. Played July 2016. Good condition, friendly atmosphere.

Great course with flaws

I would have liked to give our last course of this holiday 5 stars, because it was a wonderful end to our time here and with the great view of the flowering gorse bushes and the city of Edinburgh, we will always remember it.

It's one of the few courses that also has a driving range and a 9-hole short course. However, both are located at opposite ends, so you only notice them during your round.
The layout is still quite interesting and presents a variety of challenges. However, it has to accept a few deductions in its B grade. Sprinklers with hose connections were installed on three greens, which not only resulted in completely wet greens but also made approaching difficult. You had to putt very quickly if you didn't want to get wet. Additionally, after my blind second shot on the 18th, my ball was stopped by the hose right at the beginning, forcing a very long two-putt.
Furthermore, I've never seen so many broken tees flying around the teeing area. We also found quite a few old balls, some even on the fairway. Players seem to simply leave their "trash" lying around, which left a somewhat neglected impression. It's a real shame, because this course could be a gem.
