Disappointing office staff, facilities good

I am not sure if this attitude is universal as I generally play 18 holes but because I didn't have time I only wanted to play 9 holes. Office staff not interested, in fact unhelpful and wanted to charge me for 18 holes, an expensive rate as the greens had just been cored.
