Played recently with friends snd played earlier in the year Demanding front 9 as very difficult Back 9 easier and more enjoyable in my opinion clubhouse all good friendly staff greens and the edges are excellent and better than most Value good course overall

Front 9 is extremely tight and even good tee shots get punished wit the slope of the fairways, back 9 opens up a bit, however the greens are very good.
Get a shot saver if it’s your first time.

Good condition. Hard fast and tw. heavily undulating greens.
The first 9 holes are relatively narrow and difficult to play, tactical, precise play is required. Some blind holes.

Back nine are okay, but nothing more. Clubhouse and toilets neglected and not up to the usual standard on the Costa del Sol. Personally, I won't play again.

The driving range does not exist or is still not finished. Gruff staff, clubhouse with warehouse flair. Everything is still justifiable, but especially the front 9 holes take away any joy in golf.
Very hard, extremely hanging tracks, almost always blind tees and even good strokes jump and roll in all directions. Flag positions sometimes illegally placed on the slope and with the wind that is always there there is simply no place that is fun. Whatever the space architect had in mind is difficult to grasp. Azata Golf is a beautiful, new course with very demanding first 9 holes, because it is very narrow and heavily sloping. The greens are in great condition and very fast.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately, the course was not yet listed on my golf watch and the distances to the flag were almost impossible to determine due to limited visibility and missing distance information.
Unfortunately the 19th hole was closed and we couldn't even drink the "ladies".

It's a new place, not completely finished yet. You have to know that. The approach is well signposted, my GPS knew just as little about the course as my golf watch. The birdie books are not yet ready and the hole descriptions on the tees are limited to the specification of par and length, which is not quite sufficient because at least on the front nine almost every hole is blind. In return, the fairways always hang solidly exactly in the drive landing zone. So everything is very special. Oh yes: it has BERMUDAgrass, so don't complain about blonde fairways in winter! Big differences in height, partly long connecting routes - I was happy to have rented a buggy. Incidentally, 18 holes + buggy for € 60, which is very cheap here. Overall, a difficult course with narrow fairways and very undulating, very fast greens. The whole thing reminded me a lot of Calanova at Mijas, a good offer as long as the prices stay that way. Oh yes: there is now a brand new clubhouse with a small shop and a fairly simple bar and a terrace, which was out of the question today because of wind force 6. You can play with pleasure but long detours are not worthwhile for this place.

The brand new AZATA golf course was opened in July 2020 and has absolutely grown to the surrounding well-known golf greats. Playful, very sporty, ambitious, with wonderful ravines and rivers crisscrossed. The bridge at hole 3, a par 4, with the beautiful backdrop of the Sierra Bermeja is worth seeing. With a green fee of € 100 including cart for two people, a welcome and affordable change on the Costa del Sol compared to Estepona or Cortesin.
