Stunning golf course

After enormous investment by the new owners, this Championship course is a great test for all golfers and has some amazing holes. I would recommend you bring your A - game as there are numerous challenging holes on this undulating layout and it is easy to see why it was chosen to host the 2019 Italian PGA Championship.

Last played the course in 2012 when the fairways were brown, but this year watering was much better and the course looked sensational. While generally shortish, the greens with sharp slopes are a solid defence. Generally well laid out with one daft par 5 right at the end of the course on the front nine. Hilły so buggy recommended if doing the full 18.

Course is in a small valley with splendid views. Castle in background very nice. Some great golf holes, but fairways are not 100% in july. Some areas has less grass and have weeds. Also the rough has too high grass and finding the ball is difficult. Green are very good. Golf car is a must as it is very hilly golf course. Rental clubs is not good. Old stuff really.

If anything, the website does not do the course justice - it is even more spectacular than it looks.

Everything here is very well maintained and nice to look at. The place itself is certainly one of the top 10 in all of Italy. Great created, sometimes difficult to play but never unfair. The greens were fantastically maintained. The Antognolla Castle can be seen from almost every point of the square and also provides something for the photo album. The only small point of criticism: a starter or a marshal would be important. There are singles and flights of 2 in a row, and nobody wants to play with the other. Sensational tracks, some of which are very hilly, Cars an absolute recommendation! Antognolla has one of the hardest par 5 holes in Italy! With a double gorge and a steep and narrow ascent to the small green (take at least 2 more clubs).
The all-round view of the mountain valley north of Perugia is magnificent!
That the lightning fast greens didn't really bite is whining at the highest level. During our visit (Monday) there was nothing going on (like almost everywhere on our Umbria - Tuscany tour), drive/fly there and play golf, Tuscany and Umbria can compete with any destination in southern Europe.
