Nice hilly course

It is a beautifully located golf course. The view from the course over hills and dales is magnificent.
I played the course in the beginning of September 2013.
On arrival the pro-shop and caddy master is somewhat hard to find and the level of spoken English very low. I had made a reservation on the internet using a credit card, and on arrival they asked me to pay again. I was under the impression that I had already payed but it turned out that the credit card was only a reservation and had to be formally charged upon arrival. To clarify this with little knowledge of English took some time.
The layout of the course is very nice. It is walkable but in the summer heat I would strongly recommend a buggy as it is fairly hilly.
The fairways are narrow, and the spoon is the preferable club for many tee-shots.
The fairways were at this time of the year very dry, a tendency of being brown and thus fairly hard. The greens were in good condition. But sadly the lakes of the course, a signum of the course, were all almost totally dried out. Leaving ugly big holes covered with black plastic for the eye to see instead of what I would imagine in the spring to be beautiful water filed lakes to see.

It is a good golf course well worth a visit and at this time of the year the green-fee was only EUR 35 inclusive buggy.

Interesting place, away from golf tourism

Because of the late autumn, cold night temperatures, no more grass growth can be expected, and yet today the fairways were in pretty good condition and the greens were in very good condition. In contrast, the sand is a nuisance: 2cm soft and “concrete” underneath - it can't work that way. the fact that the tee box 8 is still fully in the ball landing area of the 7th green is a rather tedious architectural mistake.
Nevertheless: the course is topographically a lot of fun and requires fairly precise play.

the pace of the game was annoying today. the ranger has nothing under control. we would have needed 6 hours today... that's why we disengaged after the 9th hole and moved to the 19th hole, which is quite acceptable from a culinary point of view.
Almost in the 4 * range, GF 50 € / 18 holes on foot.

Spectacular field

The field is spectacular. Very good care. The treatment of the field staff has been exquisite from the driving range to the cafeteria. Everyone was dedicated to your experience in it. field be the best possible.

Demanding field at a technical level but with really spectacular holes.

Worth it and we will be back

An impertinence

Preliminary: care condition acceptable for the end of a hot season, it was much worked, aeridicated, even tees and whole tracks and scarified.

Repellent is the architecture of the place in principle.
An attempt was made to violently lay 18 tracks in 3 wild, deeply cut gorges.
As usual in the area the tracks are very narrow - you should just play. But sometimes the next tee is so close to the last green that can scare the sky. Then again the way to the next tea is longer than the last track. And the whole thing is topped by inclines and gradients, which you would rather run than with a buggy. Some serpentines have therefore been closed for safety reasons and the way to the green goes back 200 meters on the edge of the last track over. There are also greens that you have to leave backwards. Hard to imagine how to enjoy the game here. If it were full; it was nice - we could abbreviate!

Antequera is developing

Place was newly created and is in good condition.
The greens are arified and need a bit more.
The first 9 are good and forgive sometimes a mistake (foot) The second 9 have it! Straight game required. Better to take a buggy. The fairways should not be used!

Totally unacceptable.

This place should be closed.
The condition a Katasthophe:
Buggies neither clean nor roadworthy. Panes smashed.
Tires floored starter "changeable".
Several times was to make the aid necessary to Buggies again roadworthy Notes for the haircuts misleading and incomplete.
An approximative almost impossible.
Have unnerved abandoned after 8 holes.
Fairways, more an acre.
Greens acceptable and fast, fair.
A great hotel, excellentes Leistungsvergältnis.
The place is run by the same company:
A disaster!!
Sorry, there does not help even the spectacular scenery.
Stay away if love the game

Great interesting place

The place is very beautiful, many, some spectacular holes. Very varied, beautiful views and very hilly. We had a stroller and were glad.

Preia- / performance ratio was right, the place was in a good state, beautiful greens.

We would immediately play here again.

A beauty and a beast

This GC has really everything an ambitious golfer could wish for. scenic obstacles, blind shots and some steep up and straight down. simply great. who makes space for erstan times is a few balls to lose... and also on foot of space is a sporty challenge - in a beautiful mountain environment.
The water obstacles are in fact the reserve for irrigation in summer. that this end of the summer may be empty, is probably to prevent barely. then when but someone complained that this basin border Augsut are empty, he has not quite grasped the climate in southern Spain.
And one more thing: the 19th hole is a really good restaurant!

Challenging and beautiful

We played the course in August 2015 twice. We have booked in transit an arrangement with the Antequera hotel. The price / performance ratio is very good. The location and the place are worth a visit. The holes are challenging, especially because of the wind. It begins with the 1! Unfortunately, there are obstacles that can not be seen, such as the moat on the 2nd In the first round we lost some balls in the second but barely. The holes offer variety. The 4 par-3 holes are really smart. The greens are perfectly (not overdone). The fairways were dry and hard (not surprising in August in this area). Many water hazards were dry (but we used the terraced ponds for watering - so fine). Anyone still interested for the area (El Torcal; Caminito del Rey), is the place to go perfectly.

Terrible

The place is beautiful. He is also very inexpensive. But that's about it. Ancient, "welcome" barely usable range balls the player. The Cartwege are extremely bad and dangerous. And the place itself is riddled with "water hazards", which represent only a funnel with pond liner, but without water. This creates the impression of a lunar landscape. The rest of the maintenance condition leaves something to be desired. Without these shortcomings of the place would be quite scenic and often because of blind bats, narrow fairways and hanging a challenge and quite tricky. In its present state can only advise him to play

But schwierg beautiful

A little difficult to find the place. I think the place fair, you have to play accurately. Enough balls mitnehmem, you need some. The last holes are exhausting, it goes uphill only, Fast greens, great views of the surrounding area, harder than you think! Was worth it. Unfortunately, the water hazards are almost dry, otherwise the place would look even more beautiful.
