Very good experience

We were playing in Alboran Golf in January. It was great. The weather was perfect around 18 degree.
The Golf course also was good for play, very atractive for the amateur player, with a good desing, and the staff very friendly, you really feel confortable there. Special thanks to Jose Ramon, the director.
I do suggest you to visit the "chiringuito" with good food and "tapas".

With Golfamore

We played here with two people for 25 euros each with the Golfamore card. We were allowed to park our motorhome on the site overnight. The simple clubhouse was very well attended. Simple but good. The gentleman at the registration desk was also very nice. For extremely little money, a decent performance. The space is always a matter of everyone's taste anyway.

Average Golf Course

I played 4 rounds on the course at a WAGR tournament. As far as the view is concerned, the place is relatively nice, with a view of the sea to the south and a moon-like landscape to the north. Unfortunately the place itself isn't really the best. The fairways are good, but the greens are often very different, which then affects the directional stability. Some greens are extremely slow, some are fast, some break a lot and some don't break at all. The layout is ok, but nothing more.
In my opinion you will find the better places if you drive further towards Malaga, Marbella, Gibraltar.

All in all, Alborán is an average course to play, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it.

Friendly and ok - you can play

The extremely positive reviews lured me here. Well, what can I say?

I noticed positively:
- The friendliness of the staff
- The length of the course and the fact that the tees (white/yellow/blue/red) of most holes were only slightly shortened (and not downright cranked as is often the case in Spain at this time of the year).
- The good quality of the bunkers.

Still, the place is just average for me. This is mainly because:
- Although the individual holes differ somewhat, they are not very exciting to play (it is quite difficult to lose a ball...).
- The greens are different in terms of texture and tracking.
- The whole ambience seems a bit profane (or to put it positively: uncomplicated).
- The environment with the partly unfinished houses, at least visually, does not really represent an added value.
- The installations (clubhouse containers, restaurant, on-site facilities) are somewhat degraded.

The course joins the long list of similar courses between Valencia and Malaga. There are a few positive outliers in this section, but the really nice, good and challenging courses on the Spanish Mediterranean coast are, in my opinion, mainly between the border and Barcelona and then again on the Costa del Sol/Golf in Andalusia.

Better from year to year

I play this course every year on the way home and find that it got better every year. The new restaurant is always well attended and invites you to linger. The course maintenance is ok and you can play a good round of golf. I'll be back.

Golf course with top price / performance

The flat golf course is now nothing special from the layout, but very playable and in good condition. Couple with e-cart (which you do not really need) 75 euros is an offer. The staff is not exactly trying, but you can not have everything. The 19th hole would be a good service. If you are in the area, certainly worth a visit.

From hole to hole better...

Initially still very boring, but from hole 3 for the first time water hazards come into play. From hole 10 wonderful sea views and challenging holes. The course is very flat and to be going well. However, with almost 6000m from the yellow tee and relatively long. The par 4 holes have it all and are the second blow to medium good players barely reached. The clubhouse and gastronomy have their own charm. We had fun and would come back definitely.

Beautiful designed golf course

Did the place during the week of 29/04/2015 to 05/06/2015 played five times. The course is completely flat, without any particular difficulty. The place is well maintained and optimally to start the new season.

Very nice place, with weakening of the environment

The most positive anticipation: The design of the place is very nice. The space condition is absolutely fine. The green fee is very fair.

The bad: A few Bauruninen adorn unfortunately a few fairways. The dry moat is unfortunately very trashy, even among the bushes should not look it.
Also, there is unfortunately no clubhouse! While there is a small snack wagon very hard and very cheap offers his goods. If the weather is not too good, however, a stay in the open air is not very pleasant.

The place is certainly recommended, just after the round you should get a beer somewhere else.

Campazo in Almeria!

We have been now for Christmas and New Year in the urbanization of the golf course and we had a great time. Apart from a wonderful time, the days we play golf we were pleased with the camp. Very funny and quiet. Worth having come from Madrid for this area! We will definitely return. I also thank the field staff received attention at all times. Just great!

Great golf course with 18 holes

We went a week Urb El Toyo on the recommendation of a friend and unexpectedly came across this great golf course with 18 holes on the side. We played three days and had a blast, and that is a very funny. We were treated great! It is certainly a great place to relax, sunbathe and play golf. Be back soon!
