Characteristics

Majestic Creek Country Club is set in the foothills 20 kilometers west of Hua Hin. The journey towards the course offers rural views of Thai life including sugar cane, tapioca, and pineapple plantations and farms. Majestic Creek has natural surrounding scenery. Valleys in the nearby mountains supply water to the maze of streams winding around the course, and the builders have been careful to preserve them as natural hazards; which makes for some tricky shots over water.

Nice, solid 27-hole course with good service

Played on March 16th. A Creek and B Lake Course and on March 21st. C Waterfall Course. The 27-hole course is located approximately 25 km inland from the center of Hua Hin. You should use a navigation system to find the club. Shortly before the entrance to the club you pass a large temple complex that is well worth seeing. At the first impression, the caddies take your bags from you at the clubhouse. However, if you go up the stairs at the clubhouse to the large terrace, to the well-designed event area, the clubhouse there seems a bit neglected. The locker rooms in the lower part are absolutely fine. You pay your green and caddy fees in the well-equipped pro shop. We had booked a golf package through an organizer. Unfortunately, the green fee prices are not visible on the club's homepage. You can see a space plan and the specifications there. The lady at the counter was busy and friendly. A cart is recommended, as some of the paths between the tees are a little longer. In particular, the path to the first tee of the Waterfall Course feels like 3 km long. You can also rent just one cart on site for two people. You then drive the cart yourself and the two caddies stand at the back of the cart. However, that doesn't necessarily make the game faster. We had two experienced ladies as caddies who were very nice. There are also male caddies here. The course is laid out in a varied way. There are some water hazards, especially on the 9 of the Lake Course, as well as some bunkers that come into play again and again. On hole 4 (PAR 3) of the Waterfall Course, you can see the small waterfall directly behind the tee. Doglegs and a few trees here and there on the edge of the fairways complete the round. There are also slightly raised tees and quickly undulating greens. There are four tee options, depending on your skill level. The fairways are mostly open. On the 1 of the Lake Course it goes directly over water, where you have to stretch yourself from the front tee. There are no buildings on the route, so you can enjoy the route in nature. Theoretically there are aid stations with toilets if they were all open and operational. Some of these were locked and there were a few unkempt urinals behind the hut just for men. We couldn't really tell whether the actually planned resort was in operation. The game was rather mixed. The two of us were able to start playing a little earlier before our start time, but we soon joined the first flight of four. After he let us through, it didn't take long until the next backlog, etc. From our point of view, the condition was the second best of all the facilities in Hua Hin. Despite the heat wave, hardly any dry spots. There was only some wear on a few tees and some were so dry that you couldn't get the tee into the ground. After the round we had something to eat in the restaurant with a nice view of the square. Quality, prices and service were fine. However, there were some items on the menu that were not available, at least on that day. If you want to play 18 holes, you obviously automatically play the Creek and Lake Course, but you don't have the choice to play the Waterfall Course, at least without asking. Overall a very good place with good service. However, five stars is not enough.

Varied

Course played on February 2nd, 2024 (A&B) Course condition: Fareway good, greens perfect and medium fast, bunkers were very different, some with an extremely large amount of sand.
The course is very well embedded in the landscape and offers good variety.
Here too, a par 3 practically as an island green (hole 17 / every golfer loves)
Conclusion: highly recommended

Good vacation place

On January 6th, 2020 we played the A & B Course (Creek and Lake). A pleasant level golf course with a few water hazards. The course condition is ok and okay for holiday golf. Caddies and staff are very friendly and the clubhouse fits the grounds. An acceptable price-performance ratio in high season. Ideal as a supplementary round to the other places around Hua Hin.
