Characteristics
One of Schleswig-Holstein's most demanding 18-hole courses is situated in a magnificent location directly at the convent-forest Preetz, only a few kilometers from Kiel. Embedded in a typical terminal moraine landscape that is crossed by age-old and new hedgerows, the course offers different levels to choose from. The course, which is almost "mountainous" in comparison to the general features of the region, offers altitude differences of over 20 m and many water hazards and biotopes. This makes the course a real challenge for everyone.

Too bad about the layout

I played the course again after a long time and I'm more than disappointed. The greens are not only broken by the cranes (we were told so). In addition, the tees are unkempt and uneven and the fairways are full of clover and dandelions. I give 2 stars for the layout of the course, but it's not really playable in this condition.

The place is beautifully situated and the tracks difficult and attractive. The greens were completely destroyed by wrong measures, hardly any grass, putting more of an imposition. Hcp 10.7, played on September 18,2020 at 9:30 a.m., sunny.
As I learned over the phone, no tee times are required here. The welcome in the secretariat was very friendly, green fee with a golden R was 55 euros. It's a shame, there was no logo ball and no birdie book!
I went around with two very nice club members, special thanks to Eike and Helmut. The tees were okay, the fairways well mowed, but a lot of divots, too bad! The tracks were well signposted and the paths were clearly visible. The greens were sometimes bad, but fast.
The tracks are very varied, so that there was no boredom. For me the 16 as a double dogleg with raised green is the best hole.
I did not use the driving range and gastro, cleaning area was dismantled due to CORONA.
Conclusion:
Gladly again - but it won't be my new home club!
