Harbour Point Golf Club, which sits just off the N25 about five miles to the east of Cork, is renowned for providing a real golfing challenge. The course is set among the rolling limestone lands that sweep along the banks of the River Lee. It was opened in 1991 and is now well-established. The courses measures 6743 yards and has a testing par of 72. The fairways are tree-lined so accuracy is essential, particularly off the tee. Part of Harbour Point's attractiveness is that can appeal to both high handicap players and scratch golfers. The clubhouse is modern in concept, yet regal in style, fitting easily into the quiet ambience that is Harbour Point.

The most amazing golf course I have ever played.
It came about from the dream of a local man, (Sean O'Connell) He owned a farm, and all of the land that became his dream.
He had one of Ireland's top golf course designers, who planned it from start to finish, and he made a magnificent job of it.
Well Sean O'Connells dream came true, now we as golfers have hope's and dreams that some day we might play golf there AGAIN.
