Characteristics
The 18-hole course is situated in the Alpine upland of the Allgäu region. The course is all in all flat, but the holes 14 and 15 make for a spectacular exception. Bushes, a multitude of different trees and colourful farming meadows lend a unique character to the course.
THE COURSE IS PLAYED THE WHOLE YEAR ON NORMAL GREENS.
In addition there is an 9 Hole Academy Course that can be played without a Green Card and that contains six Par 3 Holes and 3 Par 4 Holes.

Top location/Flop in the restaurant

Great course. Good driving range. Super friendly office staff. Amazing tiny houses. Unfortunately, the restaurant is a disaster. More on that later. Superb fairways, wide enough to actually play a decent score. The greens are fast and really challenging. That pretty much sums up the nice score 😉. Holes 14 and 15 are special. Let yourselves be surprised. Now, about the restaurant, which reduced the rating from 5 to 3. Unfortunately, we had to wait over an hour for deep-fried food. When we asked if the food was still on its way, we were told to leave the restaurant. So, the golf course is highly recommended. The restaurant is not. And the option of staying in tiny houses without dinner is also a bad idea.

We were at Gut Westerhart for the first time yesterday and played with two very friendly members, so we also got some first-hand information. However, this is just my subjective impressions as a guest:
Friendly welcome, although it was a bit complicated to register with the Oberstaufen Plus card. The driving range is a bit further away, but at €1 per 15 balls it's a very fair price to practice.
The holes on the course are generally fairly flat, with one notable exception. Holes 14 and 15 are steeper than I have ever seen before and definitely require more than one attempt to get the best possible play. However, they are signature holes and will be remembered. The rest of the layout is not uninteresting, but ultimately it is a bit repetitive.
The condition of the course is the first problem. (Probably recently) there are hordes of robotic lawnmowers being used, which seem to leave the fairway and the 1st cut just a little too high. This makes a course that is already long at 6077 m even more difficult. And the greens had not yet fully recovered from aeration and seemed to be struggling with fungal infestation here and there. Overall, the condition was not great and although the recent cold weather could be used as an explanation, just one day later we saw that things could be completely different.
Finally, I also didn't like the pricing for long-distance memberships and VCG. Unfortunately, this is another club that uses its pricing and discount terms to shout out loud that it would rather not have this audience there. We wouldn't have come without the Oberstaufen Plus card and we wouldn't come without it in the future either.

Beautiful course with lush greens

Went on August 24th with our RV in the suburb and spent the night in the large and very quiet parking lot.
Friendly and competent secretariat with a nice, small but well-equipped pro shop.
Well-kept 18-hole course with holes that never get boring. Were traveling with our electric trolleys.
Not a crowded place with lots of peace.
Sanitary rooms with showers were modern and well-kept, fresh towels were available.
Green fees 2 for 1 through LeasureBreak and Golfamore are accepted
