The hotel has been completely renovated inside to a top 4 star plus level!!!
The place, well! The wooded and hilly area around the 60/70 year luxury hotel is quite impressive. There is still a lot of development with beautiful single-family houses with a view of the front tracks and the 20km “Weitblick Valley”!
The bunkers and greens are well maintained and beautifully laid out, but:
Why don't you turn this 18-hole course into a decent 12-hole course? The effort wouldn't be too great and you could build nice fairways with a normal width. Some fairways are so narrow that you have real difficulties with orientation when you first use them!
Lanes 3-10 are so tightly packed together that I have rarely seen before!
For me the most beautiful holes were 1,2, 10,11,13,14,16,17,18!
With a reduction to, for example, 12 holes, you could create a normal par 72 standard without littering it with far too many short and equally narrow par 3s!
If you can find your way to the Stromberg Hotelplatz on the sometimes narrow streets, it's still worth a walk!
Tip: Without a car you should be able to walk normally to well, the climbs are sometimes considerable!

Hanging fairways and undulating greens with complicated putting lines were not easy. Bunkers, water and doglegs round off the difficulties. The 17 is very nice with a short tee shot into the depths.
With sunshine and the lush green of the course in good condition, a golf experience with potential to be repeated. The changing rooms in the spa area and the end of the game on the terrace of the golf hotel with delicious cakes contribute to the pleasant atmosphere.

Played on May 3rd, 2020. The hilly (cart to be recommended if you are not in such good condition) 18-hole parkland between Koblenz and Bad Kreuznach is scenic in a climatic health resort, but can still be reached relatively quickly via a few switchbacks from the A61 and is located directly a hotel of the same name. Despite its supposed shortness with PAR 69 (7x PAR 3), the course has its challenges, not least because of the height differences. Higher HC should take a few more balls with them, some tees are quite narrow due to tall trees or exclusions. There are not many great water hazards. The second lane goes straight uphill before it becomes a little flatter after a descent from lane 3. From lane 12 it is again going uphill. There is also a long way between the tees. It's a shame that the former tees on lane 3, from above down into the valley, have probably been moved. After 9 lanes you are at the other end of the course, so that you play 15 lanes and then arrive back at the clubhouse / hotel. The last three lanes are again across the street from the hotel. The tracks are varied and appealing, but the fairways were in poor condition, some with flower fields and fields. After the corona lockdown, we already had higher expectations for the space condition. The greens had been aerated recently and were very bumpy. The green fee of € 60 at the weekend was therefore at the upper limit. Thankfully and in a way that promotes golf, no surcharge is taken for guests without a golden hologram. Hotel and restaurant was closed due to Corona. We had reserved the start time three days in advance by telephone (not possible online for guests). We paid the green fee for a very nice lady at an “emergency counter” through a hotel window. The game operation was fully booked due to the corona regulation but was very relaxed. Unfortunately you could only go to the toilet at tee 8, otherwise everything was closed. In conclusion, it is definitely an "experience" to play here, but something more needs to be done in terms of general maintenance so that you come back as a guest.

Now to the place: despite all the oddities a scenic place, beautiful views, grown in, not easy to play but still manageable, well maintained, we were very satisfied.
