We chose the place based on a recommendation from friends, but we were seriously disappointed. So I can only agree with the two previous reviews.
All areas are in poor condition, the semi-roughs are poorly mowed and look more like rough, you can hardly find your balls. The fairways and greens are mostly in poor condition and the bunkers have not been maintained for a few days.
The paths are all in very poor condition and resemble washed-out hiking trails in the mountains. It was very wear-and-tear for our electric trolleys.
It's clear to us that we won't play this course again because we didn't like the layout either.

We play here every now and then, but we have never seen the course in such a condition: almost all of the greens are in deplorable condition, as are the fairways. There's nothing to complain about there. Obviously the focus here is on the wrong horse. Another indication of the “downhill” are the taps with Kynzvarter healing and miracle water. While it used to be possible to gain new strength with the healing water on lanes 6 and 14, these have been reduced (6) or are only present in fragments without water. Back in the clubhouse: There are small meals and drinks. Fits. Service friendly and attentive. The large Metternich hotel and restaurant opposite was closed. The timing raises questions. The 5th stop on our campervan tour of West Bohemia, at the end of April, took us to Golf Club Kynžvart.
The extremely friendly and German-speaking young woman at the reception in the clubhouse was a real highlight (she even brought us seat cushions for the car!). She also immediately gave us permission to park overnight in the parking lot next to the clubhouse before we continued our journey the next day and to be able to use an existing power connection there.
Otherwise the overall impression of the golf course was very good. The course is still very young at around 10 years old, but there is still a lot to do and in many places conversions and renovation work are underway.
The golf course has some very beautifully designed and adventurous tees and greens ready and otherwise the place offers through its hilly and z. T. mountainous landscape a lot of variety. The condition of the lawn on the fairways and especially on the greens took some getting used to, given the early season at the end of April, and one hopes that the greenkeepers will be able to bring the condition into shape for the season in the next few weeks, because the course itself is also quite demanding due to a number of closely spaced and parallel tracks.
