Characteristics

The Denarau Golf & Racquet Club opened on the 9th June, 1993 with a par 72, 6538-metre resort golf course designed by Mr. Eiichi Motohashi of Pannya Planning, Japan. Created from mangrove swamp with marine shaped bunkers and greens, the layout has water hazards on 15 of it's 18 holes. The Denarau Golf & Racquet Club was built with the use of Mr. Motohashi’s acquired craftsmanship and skilled techniques. As the South Pacific’s premiere golf facility, the Denarau Golf & Racquet Club strives as a testimony to his vision and passion for the game.

Pity

Place played a total of 3 times between March 27th and 30th, 2024.
The course is flat and has water on virtually every hole (longitudinal or frontal).
The holes are varied, but play fairly despite the water and many bunkers.
The complex is surrounded by a mostly easy-to-drive road. A football field in the middle of the complex is very special; players or spectators can cross the fairway.
Unfortunately, the tracks are in relatively poor condition. Half of the greens are simply unplayable because there are bare spots between the weeds.
The bunkers are also not maintained.
During our 3 rounds we didn't meet a greenkeeper once!
As everywhere in Fiji, the employees are extremely friendly, but ultimately uninterested.
