Characteristics

In 1988, Yoshikazu Kato, one of Japan’s most prolific golf course architects started developing the site, originally an abandoned tin mine flanked by rubber plantations. Both courses were created around existing canyons and woodlands, with minimal interruption to the natural landscape and wildlife. The property is a masterpiece of design characterized by spectacular and daunting natural hazards including numerous water features accentuated by towering trees to challenge golfers of all levels.

Surrounded by freshwater lakes and in harmony with the earth, the Canyon Course brilliantly features natural hazards, towering trees, multiple tees, rolling fairways, long carries, narrow landing areas, and well-guarded slick Bermuda Tiff dwarf greens. As its name “Canyon” suggests the holes are built along canyon edges with undulating fairways and greens.

Established in 1999, the Lakes Course has water hazards coming in to play on 17 out of 18 holes. The course is a mixture of water-filled canyons created by open cast mining with its natural land flow left relatively unchanged. Its front 9 holes run through a landscape of lakes and original canyons, whilst the back 9 weaves around more scenic lakes and soft whispering woodlands of rubber trees.

IS IN BEST CONDITION IN PHUKET

Played today at Lakes Course and it was very well maintained and in top condition! The course was very interesting and rewarding. The Canyon Course was closed for restoration for 10months now. The Golf Director took me around the Canyon Course and it is by far the best course in Thailand. Cannot wait!!!

Beautiful

Played on February 13th (Lakes) and February 14th, 2024 (Canyon) Both courses are beautifully embedded in the landscape and sometimes meander past the cuts in the terrain, or then they lead through narrow forest corridors.
Partly very demanding, as there is little space for landing zones.
Spectacular on the Canyon Course: Hole 10 (par 3) with an island green in front of the clubhouse.
Unfortunately, the enjoyment of the game that day was reduced by a lot of noise on the Lakes Course.
And on the Canyon Course the greens from 10-18 had just been re-sanded.
Nevertheless: both courses are a must for every golfer who wants to play on Phuket!

Golfer's paradise

After the Red Mountain for us the most beautiful area. Have enjoyed all 36 holes. The place is not easy but super interesting and the nice caddies help great.
Definitely worth it!
