Solid course yet overpriced

Good driving range yet not quite the service as in other coursescin the area. Course is flat and always easily possible to see the hole. Condition was average as greens were not nice and a lot of water was being put on the course. Worth playing but price levels were too high in my mind at 150 Euro with the course being worth maximum half this.

Unfortunately the quality has been lost

I played January 24th. It's been about 8 times since 2007.
There was a change of ownership here 3 years ago and things seem to have gone downhill since then. The AD Championship have also moved to Yas. Many members have probably left the club. Of course the place is still iconic and I would still recommend it if you're here for the first time. Condition is good, but no longer exceptional. You also have to take into account the high GF. If you have the choice, it's better to choose Yas Links or Saadiyat.
Now what was bad? The training bunker was concrete. No wonder no one else practices there. On the round everyone is different, everyone is not fluffy like before. No beverage cart, one station with minimal selection, water between 9 and 6 stinks - like it used to be at the Garden, which, by the way, has just been closed. There are villas coming up, which means there will soon be construction noise.

Disappointing

The place was very disappointing for us. Bad greens, not a good organization.

That was once a great place

Value for money is no longer correct here. The driving range has ancient, crooked mats, the range balls were completely worn out, and the distances between the tees were far too narrow for left-handers.
The place lives on from the old dignity of earlier times, but is simply not in good condition, the greens are extremely slow and bumpy. We drove there from Dubai - that was nothing!

Very, very good and solid parkland course

Reviews are always subjective! The Abu Dhabi Golf Club is a very well maintained and solid parkland golf course, which could also be an old top course in southern Spain.
But what sets the course apart is the unique "Falcon Clubhouse" and the extremely high level of service that is usual for UAE and the flair of the Abu Dhabi Championship that hovers over the course!
Everything perfect, timeless parkland layout, but for me behind the two new design monsters, Saadiyat Beach and Yas Links!

Most beautiful place in Abu Dhabi-must have

Wonderful, large-scale golf resort. For me clearly the best and most interesting place in Abu Dhabi. Can agree with many very good reviews on all points. Great fairways, huge and first class greens. Varied tracks with sometimes very challenging lengths - especially when it's windy. Service first class. On Sunday it was very crowded, so that there was a traffic jam at one or the other hole. The Marshall came to each flight, explained the situation and asked for understanding. Challenging golf in beautiful surroundings. A local club member said that the hotel and golf resort has a new owner and is planning changes - certainly in terms of price. We had also booked the hotel in the package. Getting a bit old, but great service, friendliness and attentiveness of the staff first class. Large rooms, good breakfast, nice terrace as the 19th hole, very good driving range. All in all highly recommended.

European tour course and 9-hole night golf

Played on February 8th, 2020 the 9-hole garden course and on February 12th, 2020 the main course "National". First, briefly about the garden course, which is also designated as holes 19-27. We played this place in the evening under floodlights, which is highly recommended and a very special, rather unique experience. Especially since there was almost nothing going on in the evening and we almost had the space to ourselves. Starting times can be booked online as for the main square for the “Garden” until around 8:00 p.m. We converted € 75 including cart. paid, which is certainly not cheap for 9 holes. The 9-hole loop is a full PAR 36 course with lots of bunkers and water hazards. The discounts are usually open. In the evening you should avoid the areas not covered by the floodlights off the fairways, otherwise the ball will be gone.
Now to the big European tour place. First you drive up to the legendary Falkenclubhaus and hand in your bags. These are then provided on the other side after checking in with the very friendly staff in the Pro Shop, on Carts. You should definitely reserve your start time in advance, as the place is very busy. We booked online and also paid. From 1:30 p.m. the green fee will be considerably cheaper and the amount depends on the day of the week. We paid the equivalent of 106 € per person including cart, which is very cheap for a European tour place. If you want to play in the morning on the weekend, you can also pay up to € 250 for the round. In the afternoon there is usually less activity. We were able to go around alone for two. With us there were no waiting times. By the way, nobody asked us about an HC. The starter kindly explained everything worth knowing for the round on the first tee. The tracks are very varied overall. There are doglegs, water hazards and lots of bunkers with sometimes very fine sand. The fairways are relatively narrow compared to other resort facilities. But also offside, there are some wasteareas, you can find his balls relatively well. As always, strategic play helps immensely. The greens were unfortunately not as quick as hoped three weeks after the European tournament. As far as the overall level of care is concerned, you could still clearly see the traces of the tournament, so it was rather satisfactory. Of course, it is a very special experience to pass the course on lanes 9 and 18, but all in all it is just a golf course and honestly, we liked the space and the ambience and nature in Saadiyat better. Yes, there are no construction sites here and everything is ready, but some of them are getting old, for example at the halfway houses. You can also clearly hear the traffic from the nearby motorway depending on the wind. Incidentally, the service is equally good and exemplary at all Troon courses. After the round you can eat well and at reasonable prices in the restaurant. You should play the course once or twice, but then it's good too.

Excellent course and a must have

The course not only looks class, but also has a fantastic course design. The quality of the course is very high and the greens very fast. I played the course in April 2019 and the entire service was impeccable. Since this is not the first tour place worldwide, which I play, you have to deal in advance with the booking of the green fees in order not to pay the officially very high price. The green of the lane 10 I played with the 2nd stroke and could go with a birdie from the green. Fairway are in a very good condition sometimes tight and you have to play the course tactically then it makes a lot of fun. There are also some treacherous tracks here. Especially worth mentioning is the service on the square (drinks, snacks) just great, even gin and tonic there and I know that only from America. This place should be a "must have" in the history of any good golfer who visits Abu Dabi. If you want to play the courses in Dubai and Abu Dabi, you should definitely start your teeoff. com, as the green fee players will be able to make an inexpensive reservation here. I myself have this place thanks to Teeoff for about $ 120 recorded.

Great course

We played the course in February 2019 and were thrilled.
The place was in a very good condition. And also outside the greens, bunkers and fairways very well maintained.
The tracks are great and varied. Even with frequent games, it will not be boring.
The starters have everything under control and are super friendly. We were once sent off to the 10 for starting the field, the starter had us on the list and we were easily inserted at the 1 for our second nine.
The carts are modern and all equipped with GPS.
Of course, the Falcon Clubhouse is also fantastic. As everywhere in Abu Dhabi upscale prices and free Wi-Fi.
On the range there are unlimited rangeballs and also a decent area for a short game.

Absolute World Class

I played (HC 10.5) the course on 24.01.2018, so 3 days after the EGA tournament. Wanted to have the feeling of the Professionals and came fully at my expense. The best place in Abu Dhabi. The course was in absolute top condition, the fairways like a carpet, the semi-rough brutally hard to play, because the ball was usually not visible. The greens ultra-fast, but true to the track. I also liked the layout. Very spectacular holes. Particularly noteworthy are the lanes 9 and 18, with playing direction of the pompous clubhouse with the landmark of Abu Dhabi the falcon. Conclusion: Superplatz, Wonderful day and have played very well, an absolute dream day.

Most beautiful place in Abu Dhabi. Running is allowed!!

For me the most beautiful of the 3 places in Abu Dhabi. Maintained top. Greens on our visit a bit slower than in Saadiyat and Yas but 1A condition.
One can and may run this place; that is easily feasible and much nicer than driving the cart.
On our visit, Carts was only allowed to drive on Cartwegen - probably because of the upcoming European Tour tournament.
Probably for that very reason the Semirough was very tall and almost "swallowed" balls.
At each tee there is a water station. In addition, two catering houses and a catering cart.

Golfing Experience

Have played Abu Dhabi yesterday and I must say the place was in top condition. Fayrways super maintained and also the greens were supergepflegt. At the same time, they have the green problems of the spring again under control. Can only report positive

Great Place for sporty golf game

My wife and I were in 2016 and 2017 in February and March in Abu Dhabi. The course is in very good condition. According to HSBC, the greens are indeed taken into Mitt passion but very loyal and fast. They simply see no longer beautiful. In 2016 the tournament was after just 2 weeks and you could see the true knock the pros significantly further back, but much lies after the first earlier. :-) These make the more greens, which was nice to see the felling accruing brands. So many I've never seen on greens. Great experience with 82 so far my best lap. Any time!!!

Top place with great problem

To place itself the Vorkommentatoren have already said it all: Top landscaped court tour-level, challenging, varied, fair, even for average golfers to play.

Most money for care is not short, the place itself is well tended, because nothing is missing. Unfortunately, this does not apply to the greens: dead to a large extent, actually more than Browns Greens. Attempts have been made to mask this problem by green color. Does not look beautiful, especially it does not help to improve the poor playability.
Our round took place four weeks after the PGA Tour. Obviously the Greenkeeping have made a fatal mistake. It has probably decided not to give the green by aeration, water samples and Skåne regeneration of the stress of preparation tour-level. That obviously was fatal, because the greens are unfortunately died over a large area.

Actually you have to say that the place in this state is not worth the (rich) green fees. We very much hope that the guys that get a grip, because we have stayed several times since and would like to come back to enjoying the game.

Tour level

Super place with European Tour level. Wonderful, fun and full top-kept holes make the course for optimum playground. Fairways in top condition, but the greens were not particularly fast.
For me, the fairways 9 and 18, when the direction of the "hawks" goes, the elegant clubhouse with a nice terrace and good food, the most beautiful holes!
This place must simply enjoy.
The 9 holes of the Parkland courses are quite nice and were played under floodlights.

Fine Desert Golf

Golfing end of March in Abu Dhabi has the advantage that the places one finds at this season in top condition and has hardly worry about rain or worse.

For me, the Abu Dhabi GC the best of places was in Abu Dhabi, albeit with minimal protrusion. What just with the other two, Saadiyat and Yas, has repeatedly disrupted the intensive construction activity was around. While Therefore, the places to be nothing, but if I've been playing the sea on a green, then I want to see only green and blue with a hint bunker and not including Caterpillar dumpers.

Taking care of AbuDhabi GC is perfect, the fairways were in great condition. The greens are well defended and well to putt. Fairway bunkers and obstacles are well placed and the two holes which lead back to the clubhouse, are already spectacular.

Since the weekend to play a lot of members, a round is recommended during the week. It took almost 5 hours. The clubhouse is her from the outside more than it can hold from the inside then -> there are Saadiyat and Yas ahead.

I then also played the 9 hole course. Floodlights and varied fairways. For a fast lap recommended and significantly lighter than the championship course.

All in all, worth a visit.

Great golf course at Parkland Design

Like all 3 places we played here, is this place in great condition, and the staff extremely friendly.. I would, however, imagined him from the layout a bit more exciting. A unique feature is of course the clubhouse Falk Design.
Also for this course is: I would always like to play him again.

Beautiful, more varied place

One thing first: I love this place. Very good maintenance; good location to Yas Iceland and AUH Airport. The clubhouse is natural as many other attractions, a real eye-catcher. The food in front of the clubhouse was also good and relatively inexpensive. One should play all three courses in a golf weekend but. First, the Saadiyat or Yas Links and then this one. As a hotel, I recommend the Yas Viceroy and the Hyatt Capital Gate.

For us, the best part of three courses played.

One must not interfere with the running on the edge of the square (far enough) to the high-voltage power lines. Really nice treasure in which attention has also been paid to the additional planting. After the mirrored squares Yas and Saadiyat we were pleased that often came once water comes into play.
Not quite as many sand bunkers as Saadiyat, but often the greens but very good bunkers
defended

Tedious

We were the end of February 2014 in Abu Dhabi and of course curious about this place. Fortunately, we have played him in the beginning because then the disappointment was too handle. The course was in very good condition, the staff friendly and the greens - very slowly because - to play despite the breaks well also. But the tracks are just not exciting. I can hardly remember a me now. The money you can save yourself easy.
The service in the restaurant was not just good, we have eternally been waiting for drinks and the club house is a matter of taste, to me it is too powerful.

Not recommended rather disappointing & in front of the ET Tournament

Goods over the Christmas / New Year 2013/14 in Abu Dhabi.
From a European Tour course you just expected more. Boring & meaningless. At this time we can not recommend this place because it has already been intensively at the end of January (!) Occurring Tour event prepared. That is, the fairways were extremely narrow, the rough for amateurs actually too high. Chipping practice only of mats; putting green even completely blocked. In one of the rounds of 9 holes were even locked. In addition, too much noise and busy life because of the grandstands structures, etc. And all this with a full green fee prices. Therefore, only 2 **
