Characteristics

Aabenraa Golf Club has a pratice area with all the facilities a golfer could want. If it is only used to warm up before a round or you want to practice an hour or 2 - all available at Aabenraa Golf Club area.

The Club consists among other things of a nice driving range with 22 practice mats in 2 different levels, and 2 covered practice areas. These are primarily reserved for our Pro for teaching, but if he is not use them, then feel free to use the covered practice area.

In 2008 Aabenraa Golf Club invested in brand new mats - Hucksley artificial grass - the closest one comes true grass. These mats are also used in the practice area at St. Andrews in Scotland. On the upper level we also have a special mat for practicing leaning bearings, with the ball above your feet.

Beside our driving range (seen when entering the facility) you will find our pitching green. Here you can practice pitchs from 1 meter up to 50 meters. Besides that it has a wide big bunker, where you can practice short bunker shots. We must point out that it is not allowed to use the driving range balls on the pitching green - here you must use your own balls. In addition, please repair all your marks on the green !!

A little further away from the pitching green you find a larger bunker, where you can practice long bunker shots off against driving range. Here it is permitted to use the driving range balls since they are hit out into the driving range area.

On the hill in front of the clubhouse against the 10th Tee, you will find a large putting green. Here it is possible to practice both long and short, straight or undulerede puts - puts exactly the same as you will face when playing the Course af Aabenraa Golf Club. There are 9 holes on the putting green.

Once you have tested our driving range and practiced on our putting Green, you're ready to try our challenging Course. Our Course consists of 18 wellplaced holes distributed in a hilly terrain. From several places there is a spectacular view of Aabenraa Fjord and landscape. To the east you can see Funen and the city of Assens.

The Chief Greenkeeper and his team will ensure that the runway is always presented in top condition.

Winter Greens is hardly know on our Course, only in extreme weather our summer greens are closed - so it's actually possible to play on summer greens all year long on our Course at Aabenraa Golf Club - as long as the weather permits it.

We wish you a great game on our beautiful Course ....

Interesting place, unfortunately a bit neglected

The place has a great location with beautiful views.
The first time, there are some surprises because of the blind blows.
The greens are well maintained, everything else is very "Natural", partly for a golf course too neglected.
In this respect, the place in my opinion by Danish standards is too high priced.

Challenging, athletic course

When you play the course for the first time, you might need a good Vorcaddie because of the many blind shots. One is compensated by super well-kept greens and at the end of the round with a magnificent view of the Aabenraa Fjord.
As always in Denmark: very nice people and an uncomplicated trappings, so full 4 stars!

Great Place, but nothing in between...

On the way to Sylt eigelegt we have a stopover in Flensburg and held out for a place Breaks Leisure. The choice was Aabenraa. Arrived without registration on Sunday morning at 9:00 clock and found in Denmark Golf is a national sport! Thus, a full fenced car parking can be found at our invitation only tournaments! With luck, for a 9:37 start place for us 2 get hold of. But before five flights of four. The course is very challenging. Hilly and therefore many blind shots. Even Good shots are punished with a landing in the bunker. This place always requires strategic play and makes the first time not really fun. After 9 hole it happened to a traffic jam, so we have broken the round.
Who's in the area and leave the place can play 2-3 times, then it is certainly a physical challenge, but time "in between" frustration is guaranteed!
