Characteristics
The golf course is considered the most difficutl one of the region Castilla-Léon. The two rounds of the course are very different. The first nine holes have an English style, which respects the features of the landscape and is the more demanind part. The seonc nine are more inspirated by an American style, with very long, but not narrow fairways. Besides that the course shows hundreds of blocks of granite.

Expensive
3.0 of 5 starsReviewed July 24, 2014
The cost of carts are very expensive, your taking advantage of people who are handicapped or to old to walk the terain on this course. Golf is more expensive here to start with compared to the courses back home, which are just as nice.
However, I enjoyed the service and personnel at the course. The play was more difficult than it looked. Thanks

Playing well again...
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed April 29, 2022
I know the place from the beginning due to regular and frequent visits to Salamanca. At first there was only one driving range, then 9 and later 18 holes. Very soon the typical holiday homes were built, fortunately no apartment complexes.
And very soon all this deteriorated extremely under the various crises of Spain. The golf course suffered from poor maintenance. The houses weren't finished and the lots were overgrown. Right next to Tee 1 is a magnificent building with high columns in a simple cement dress.
That seems to be changing now. The place has a new management and apparently also fresh money. Land is in demand again, construction is underway.
I found the course in gorgeous condition in April 2022. The front 9 are designed like a park and can be played strategically. Long shots onto small, elevated greens along the Tormes River. The back 9 are completely different: it goes up into the hills that are so typical of Salamanca. A wonderful view, it gets windy, possibly very warm and extremely steep. Some spectacular holes that are great fun. Unfortunately, a local resident prevailed at holes 12 and 13, and the tees had to be extremely shortened. The result of a personal feud, I'm told. The 11 is now to be redesigned.
Both Salamanca and this place are always worth a longer journey. Like the other two places in Salamanca, by the way. Villamyor has by far the best practice facilities of all three.

solid golf course
3.0 of 5 starsReviewed November 19, 2021
the place presented itself - with already wintry temperatures - quite well in the shot. fairways and greens were easy to play on. the design of the space changes from flat and wide to hilly and somewhat cramped.
