i love it!

great golf course in beautiful valley surrounded by majestic mountains.
challenging layout with a nice variety of holes on a relatively flat and easy walking course.
the grounds are kept in excellent condition with a great variety of trees scattered around holes. tees fairways bunkers are all a1.
the staff are all friendly and the food delicious.
this is only a young golf club and will only get better as the course matures. its great value for money compared to neighbouring courses, especially swiss, with no attitude.
i hope to return again with my wife and play valtellina golf club.
ciao stefono e natalia

Glowing Glory

This golf course is slowly but surely deteriorating. 10 years ago it was still a pleasure to play there, on a well-kept facility. Today no one seems to care about the maintenance of fairways and infrastructure anymore. The staff is also just a shadow of its former self, listless and not very friendly. It's actually a shame, because the facility had and still has the potential for real golfing fun today. The only positive thing today (mid-September) were the greens: well-maintained, medium-fast and stable. It would be nice if an investor could be found who would bring the system back into shape!

...very long...

...this campo is in the Valtellina plain, sandwiched between the Adda river and the SP16 and the small airfield that runs east-west.

All team members are familiar with the name of the valley and have often served their wines during their skiing holidays - there are some that are excellent.

We crossed the Bernina Pass - vigorously turning the steering wheel - which plays in the concert of the highest Swiss Alpine passes and has been passable all year round for more than five decades. It is well developed, easy to drive on and does not have too much traffic.

The Campo is a winter destination for Graubünden club members...

It is a campo that was built in two stages, first 9 bucas, the expansion to 18 bucas took place a little over 10 years ago. He cannot hide this development, the first Bucas are very compact in terms of distances from the green to the tee - today the Bucas 1-3 and 13-18 - the others are reached after a few walks. The green dimensions also reflect this development, becoming significantly larger in the middle part.

In this flat part of the valley they had to work with the machines that create the contours of the Bucas to add some excitement to the game. Most of them are straight, have nice modeling - based on American patterns - with very good greens.

The wind that sets in with the thermals makes some Bucas quite long, which due to the vegetation don't exactly cause a lot of roll anyway. The greens play very well.

The maintenance of the greens is very good, that of the tees, the fairways and everything in between is fine - the mowing cadence has caused conversation, but also the restraint in tillage with the machines.

The infrastructure is kept very simple, a wooden building with a secretariat and restaurant - then it was...

All gave three stars!

Beautiful plant

We (HCP 8 and 10) played on April 2nd, 2023. The fairways offer variety with water hazards, doglegs, well-placed bunkers and some trees. The quality promised us from A to Z. The height difference on the entire course is small, but the paths between the green and the tee are several times longer. We played with hand trolleys. At the yellow tee there is a reference picture with the train. Smaller flying objects regularly took off and landed from the directly adjacent airport this Sunday. We will be back.

Friendly, well groomed - and boring

The condition of the course is mostly excellent. However, the greens have an abrupt cut at the edge.

In the very simple clubhouse and restaurant you will be served very friendly and courteous. And the food is outstanding.

From my point of view, the design of the place is rather boring. Mostly wide fairways require little precision. Obstacles rarely come into play, so happily banging them makes good progress. The panorama is nice - but it is beautiful on most golf courses in the world.

Conclusion: I would not drive here especially for this place. But if you're already in the area, you can definitely swing your clubs here.

Super Golf Course

Perfect and fast greens.
Perfect fairways.
Rough is very high, making it difficult to save yourself from a previous mistake.
Fun course design.
There is little margin of error for hook players, but much more margin of error for slice players.
The only downside is that there is a small airport that runs along the first three holes.

Fantastic experience, best golf course in Northern Italy

A beautiful golf course, demanding and with a sensational panorama. The holes are playable from the beginning of March to the end of November. Varied with holes with water, in the forest and open fairways, everything is there. Good food and a relaxed, family atmosphere. Unbeatable price-performance ratio. Uncomplicated and friendly staff. A great overall package.

Great and hard

We played the pitch on June 16,2017 to fourth at 34C in the shadow.
On arrival still skeptical about the entire area - the welcome from a wooden hut and the whole made rather a neglected impression - we were taught after hole 1 a better.
17 difficult and never boring holes, well-maintained greens and fairways, friendly staff, great food after the game and even our two labs were allowed to go on the pitch.
All round a wonderful experience, coupled with some surprises in every respect.
We will certainly come back. Many Thanks.

Super friendly

The staff here was super friendly, unfortunately the helicopter all the time at practice next to us.
There was not a word to understand what does not fit for us while golfing.
The location and the perfect place, super panorama.

Caiola should have played

The course is very well laid Caiola. every year the greens are better. The staff is friendly and the small restaurant offers a lot of Italian cuisine. The first 9 holes are not easy to play and the second 9 holes are peppered with water hazards. The course offers a challenge for any player. We look forward every year to Caiola to drive and can highly recommend the place.
