The course is considered by experts to be the third best in continental Europe and it is truly an experience to play here. Starting with the friendly welcome and instructions from the caddy master, through to tip-top tee boxes, even fairways and fast greens, the design is particularly impressive: a heathland course with a left-hand feel meets parkland. Exemplarily maintained, many holes will stay in your memory for a long time, especially on the back nine.
Holes 10 - 14 form a loop that is unrivalled in its beauty and originality. The course has no water hazards at all - (admittedly, there is one hidden in the woods on hole 9 to the far right of the green) - but the course design works well without them and you don't miss anything.
The green fee - which is undoubtedly high - is obviously a daily green fee - we were invited to play the first nine again if we wanted to... and we did.
