After traveling six hours - from San Diego - we are not so mobile.
In the 50's this course was built for the army of the Williams Air Force Base, they changed the name of the Airfield some years ago. Now it's called Phoenix Mesa Gateway Airport and it's right next door.
This completely flat course is just right - to relax our body - you can easily walk here, with enough liquid.
The first nine holes are ring to play - the balls roll - no par 4 measures more than 400 yards, the par 3 can be seen. The second nine holes are more demanding, three par 4s measure well over 400 yards.
We think that this course was built in two stages.
Care and maintenance is good, part of the course is completely greens - even between the fairways - has a decent trees.
