Played on March 22,2025. This flat 9-hole course (PAR 36) is located in the heart of Dubai, somewhat on the outskirts of the city next to the horse racing track – but not within the racetrack, as one might expect. Signage is rather sparse. Carts are already waiting for players at the parking lot, and golf bags are immediately taken from the car and loaded onto the carts. The driving range is located directly in front of the parking lot. The pro shop and restaurant are located in separate, small buildings. The reception in the pro shop was friendly and uncomplicated. The course itself is pleasantly playable, but its length and several water hazards still present challenges. You should also keep an eye on the outer boundaries of the dense bushes. A special highlight are the free-roaming gazelles, which can be seen repeatedly on the course and have become accustomed to the players – so be sure to have your camera ready. Thanks to the floodlights, a round after sunset is also possible. At dusk, however, you should remember mosquito repellent. There are four teeing options, which can be swapped at will during a second 9-hole round – however, there are no specially adapted tees for the first and second rounds. Construction is still underway around the course, and there are certainly more scenic golf courses to choose from. Nevertheless, the overall atmosphere is tranquil. Tee times can almost always be booked at short notice, and reservations and payments are conveniently made via the club website. For the 9-hole round, we paid around €80 per person, including a cart with GPS – priced on the higher end. Our cart had some minor handling issues, but it held up. Play on this Saturday evening was pleasantly relaxed, with hardly any waiting time. We were even able to start 10 minutes before our scheduled tee time. In conclusion: The Track is more suited to a relaxed round of golf in between and cannot be compared to the luxury courses in Dubai. However, the atmosphere is relaxed and uncomplicated.

Night golf

Meydan is a great place, very well maintained and immaculate. Unfortunately, a racecourse was built on Front 9, so there is currently only a 9-hole course. However, I can highly recommend them, especially the night golf. Was there several times in May 2023. The course has a good length and many obstacles which make it very challenging. According to the staff, another 9 holes may be built again, which would of course be great.

The 9 hole course more or less attached to a horse racing track is rather unappealing to me. With the buggy you drive 1 km from the reception to the first hole. The fairways are not my taste, sometimes the layouts are repeated. Water usually comes into play before the greens. Greens for it sensationally good, fast and on track, the best of the whole place.
For a 9 hole course from the penultimate tee relatively long, around 3,100 m at par 36.
