Lovely!

Played Roman road just after the Wales Senior open. Awesome condition!!!
Montgomerie was not far off and the 2010 was even a little bit better!!
Rented one of the lodges and it's one of the best golfvacations ever.
Pretty nice to jump in a hottub after the round of golf! Worth every star it gets!

Were expectations too high?

The fact that carts are only allowed on the path was not mentioned when booking/paying. This was all the more sternly reminded of at Tee 1.
The fairways were not good, some were patchy with almost bare spots, some were still being worked on (2 bays). The undulating and challenging greens were good. The putting speed was average though - perhaps to keep the green fee players happy.

The 2010 is a top Course! Certainly one of the best after Valderrama Ryder Cup places! almost 5stars!
Montgomerie is actually not to enjoy without car, but is a beautiful and good golf course! 4 stars!
Roman Road is the weakest and most boring Course! 3Sterne!

The 5 star are only valid for the 2010, therefor but without restriction.
Montgomerie only if one loves mountain walks and by no If on foot.

Super Golf Resort
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed June 29, 2015
Super neat Golf Resort! All 3 courses are in excellent condition and very varied! Roman Road and Montgomerie Course require tens of meters in altitude, the 2010 is slightly hilly, only on the last four holes! You can also save money if you book packages with overnight. Throughout the resort, the staff is overly friendly! Only the highway can be heard quite loud on many holes!

Romain Road
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed July 10, 2014
The Celtic Manor Resort is top notch! But he also has his price!
The Romain Road Course is varied. The greens are extremely difficult to play, as they are very fast and hard. With a 7 iron is hardly a ball on the green stand. The scenery is wonderful and it is very quiet. Marshalls ensure a smooth process. Here golf is lived!
