Characteristics
Founded in 1934,it is a nine hole course ,91 kilometers from Rio city. The weather in the area, located in the Fluminense Mountains, is usually mild and ideal for golf during the hot summer months. The course is a challenge: during one 18-hole round, Paquequer River is crossed eleven times. The access to the club is restricted to members and their guests.

Great course in great landscape

This is one of the oldest courses in Brazil if not the oldest. You therefore play in a nicely laid-out park, surrounded by lush sub-tropical vegetation.
The river that surrounds the course offers a quite permanent water-hazard, as it has to be crossed 11 times in an 18 hole round (the course has only 9 greens, though).
Excellent value for money, as the greenfee is very reasonable.

This is a very freindly club and welcomes people from out of town. You don't need to be invited by a member. The course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Senior, is beautiful and challenging. Although the course is nine holes, there are 18 Tees offering some very different angles and approaches. The course is only 1.5 hours from Rio de Janeiro and is well worth the fantastic drive through the mountains.
This course is a gem!
