Wonderful Course

We had an extra day in Sweden, and having tired of Stockholm, decided to look for a place to play a little golf near the airport. This is a wonderful well maintained rolling course with challenging greens set in a beautiful quiet countryside setting. It will require renting a car at the airport if you are not local, but if you include a stop in the historic town of Sigtuna it can be a wonderful day. Only downside - since we were travelling around Scandanavia we did not have clubs, and had to rent at the course. When we visited they only had a single incomplete set of old out of date clubs for rent, and therefore our threesome played with one set of clubs.

Sigtunaabygdens Golfclub is a beautiful golf course embedded in the surrounding area and has some hilly tracks, some of which have a difficult course as an additional difficulty also over long flat sports tracks for long hitter.
The course is quite fun to play - best to play 2 times so you know the pitfalls of the place.
The staff at the club is very friendly and helpful. However, the gastronomy leaves open with regard to the choice of dishes.
Conclusion: nice varied well-kept place with fast greens, which due to some unclear tracks with some unplanned surprises.
