Ripping off?

Arriving today at 2 p.m. and having a tee off at 2:24. You absolutely have to take a buggy (to generate extra money for the club). In the same flight with 2 nice members.
First inconvenience: the blue tee-marks are positioned way in front on the white tee-boxes. You have to find out where the usual tee box would be.
After 2 holes alarm for thunderstorm and absolute must to return to the clubhouse. Indicated delay 2,5 hours. By then it gets dark when playing the last holes.
Driving back to start and showing at the reception. Asking for partial rain-check. No chance! The S$ 1050.- for 2 people and 18 holes are lost. No chance to get another tee-time on the next days in the morning and no reduction.
Never returning back with this experience.

These days, all the courses in Singapore seem to be members' courses, where you can only get a tee time through an agent. This costs extra, but it's worth it.
The course is spacious, and you can only drive with a buggy anyway. Caddies are not required, but can be booked at least three days in advance.
Superbly maintained and fast greens. Interestingly designed fairways, where water, trees, bunkers, and elevation changes can pose a challenge. And with the temperatures there, you should remember to bring plenty of water. There's a water station on every third hole, so don't forget it! The service around the course is excellent.
In addition to Santosa, there is a second club, accessible via the same clubhouse. It's also very rewarding to play.

Buggy, Teegeschenk (Club badge) and range balls were the green fee of S $ 400, - included. I had shortly after 9am with 3 other partners Flight (1 Resident + 2 golfers) Teetime. Despite very slow game, the ever-present marshalls were very polite and hard-working. After 3.5 hours, and 11 holes, there was a 1 hour break due to thunderstorms and heavy rain, and then the game was resumed. All the time informed the Marshalls.
The site has my expectations fully entspochen, good maintenance, fast and fair greens, great layout. Also at the clubhouse the staff was very friendly and accomodating.
