This review is out of date in some respects. New head green keeper has done major inprovements to course and a new directer of gol now at secret valley. Course is in my opinion the best and prettiest course in cyprus. Not perfect but one you must play. Long hitters beware. Play with your head not your muscles

I love course that doesn't ask you to take the driver out everytime you're on the tee. Lots of percentage shots, with narrow fairways and challenging approaches.

Great place in nature. For us the most beautiful of the four. Very good condition, good greens. You can walk it but it takes some effort. We wanted a buggy but apparently the place was too wet.

We played the course twice in the first week of January 2024. Weather sunny at times 16-20°C depending on the wind. 18 holes with a carry bag or trolley and foot are no problem at all.
The place is in a not too wide canyon with a river running through it. Therefore, the first nine holes go in one direction and the second nine lead back to the clubhouse. The very spartan halfway house is a maximum distance from tee 1. There would be no shuttle service to the clubhouse. Therefore, a cart is mandatory for a 9-hole round. Otherwise there is a risk of a long hike back.
The fairways were well maintained and played well in January. The undulating greens are the fastest and most consistent in the region. A straight drive is only important on 2-3 lanes. But most of the time the place forgives a misplaced drive.
Clubhouse, pro shop, driving range, marshal, etc... are of a high standard, all friendly and up to standard.
Since we also played Aphrodite and Minthis during this time, we would like to come back again because the course was the most difficult of the three due to the greens and the narrowness at times. No spectacular views like the other two courses, but still two nice laps.

The course is varied (no hole is like the other), not always easy to play, as some blind holes and, as in all places in Cyprus, very economical place boards remind you to defend. When in doubt, leave the driver in place and stay on the fairway... Reasonably maintained, beautiful scenery, fair green fees and friendly, helpful people both in the office and at the Caddymaster/Marshall/Starter make the facility a pleasure.
