I only had 4 days in Bloemfontein and was here for work. So I had little choice as to the course. I played here two days in a row. The fairways were dry and there was little grass. This is clearly due to the climatic conditions. On the other hand, this resulted in incredibly long drives. As a result, I had (for me) an unusually high number of GIRs. Unfortunately, this did not change the score much. The greens were fast, true to line and in very good condition. There was lush grass around the greens.
All in all, it was two great rounds. I also experienced an incredible amount of friendliness and hospitality. On the second day, the course was actually blocked by a charity event. We were still allowed to sneak into a gap and were treated to snacks and cold drinks after every fourth hole.
I found something like that unusual. Anyone who works here should play here. The rental clubs, however, had seen their best years ago
