Reception: very friendly and helpful. Course: A special feature is that a road runs through the course, and there are also hiking trails, some of which run along the fairways or cross the fairways. Animal lawnmowers are in use: sheep and horses… this truly takes you back to the origins of golf.
This didn't bother us, as we sometimes had to wait a bit for the fairway to clear. Overall, it was an experience. The greens were very fast and well-maintained (by machines, not animals).

Oldest Golf Course in England, fairly flat, disturbing the running through the middle of the square with lively street traffic and the many walkers who walk in good weather across the fairways.
