Nicely situated at the reservoir of Rottau, the golf course is part of the recreational area Rottal/Inn. The Rott River crosses the entire course and thus creates a great number of natural water hazards. Newly created ponds and pools and the wet biotopes bordering on the golf course form a natural living space that offers a refuge for rare and partly endangered animal species.

Unusual golf course

We played the course from the yellow tees in summer temperatures at the beginning of July 2024. The lady in the office was very nice - they even gave us free mosquito spray. Unfortunately, it was urgently needed that day.
The course was in very good condition: tee boxes, fairways, bunker sand, greens - everything was top notch. The greens were medium-fast, almost entirely flat and relatively easy to play.
In our opinion, the layout takes some getting used to. Despite exemplary tee boards, the course is often only guessable. There is water everywhere - as already mentioned in other reviews. Good course management is more important than pure length.
What is striking is that over the years the tree population has obviously grown so much that the trees block some lines of play right from the tee, thus severely limiting the options.
Many warning signs indicate crossing fairways/ball flights. In addition, some fairways are set close together (eg 1+9).
Overall, the course is well maintained, including practice facilities; however, it can only be played well if you know the course.
Gastronomy with a small selection at fair prices with decent portions in a beautiful beer garden.

Played as a guest at the beginning of April 2024 for 80.- EUR / 2 people with 2 for 1. Condition ok, greens uneven and slow. Confusing course layout, sometimes long distances between the tees.
Nice members, but nothing more. The place didn't appeal to us, there are nicer ones in the area.
