Rathbane is a municipal golf course founded in 1998 and designed by James Healy. It has developed into a magnificent 18-hole golf course measuring 5,476 metres off the blue stakes with a Par 70 and a standard scratch of 68, it is somewhat shorter for the ladies at 4,774 metres with a Par 70 and a standard scratch to match.
The club continues to make improvements both to the course and the clubhouse facilities, combining in a challenging round of golf and a memorable day out.

Little players could start immediately; very nice and helpful reception; could play for 10 euros, as once again "Golf Week" was, as so often in Ireland; very simple place, not very well maintained (Fairways too high) and deficient signage; Greens very slow; Some tracks run just next to each other, but also some interesting tracks, such as 9, a par 3 over the water only; few bunkers, but this very well maintained!
