One Chauvinist starter

First off I am new to the Villages. We have visited eaten in the clubhouse and the pool area. Both are really great. We had a tee time on Torri pines which ended up being closed. One ambassador kindly showed us to the first tee at Erinn Glenn.
As we waited for the group ahead of us to hit a few tee shots each. We then moved to the tee. Waiting for them to clear, the starter starts yelling at us to tee off from at least 50 yards away. Having to rush your first shot is rude. It was because I was playing with a woman.
My daughter then hit her drive 20 yards short of the green, and the people in front thought we were A-holes. My daughter is a 2 time NCAA golf champ. We waited 20 minutes on every tee after that.
Rick the on course ambassador was great, but being shouted off the first tee because you are a woman should never happen. Much less at Nancy Lopez.
