Relaxed and affordable on the Costa del Golf

Played on September 5,2025: The 18-hole Miraflores course (par 71) opened in 1990 and is located approximately 20 km west of the center of Marbella in the Riviera urbanization. The access road is well signposted. The streets around the club are named after Spanish professional golfers. The clubhouse with restaurant (not in use) is rather small and has a somewhat dated feel. The staff at reception and in the small pro shop are very friendly. The course resembles a resort course. Most of the play is along a residential area, but this is not a problem. You cross the public road two or three times. It is constantly uphill and downhill, so a cart (without GPS) is recommended for less ambitious players. The course and some of the holes are generally quite short, which makes strategic play more important than length. Boundaries, walls, and bushes narrow some holes. Occasionally, you have to play over or around water. It never gets boring, as there are well-placed bunkers, doglegs, and greens around the corner. Apart from a few worn tees, the course was generally in good condition. There is some damage caused by wild boars, and you wonder where the animals actually come from in the middle of a residential area. However, there are warning signs on the access roads. This is not a fancy, manicured course, but the green fee is reasonable for the region. We paid €55 per person with a cart for the "sundowner" starting at 2 p.m. Play in the afternoon is rather relaxed. We were even able to start a little earlier and only caught up with the flight in front of us on hole 17. Overall, we can recommend this round without hesitation.

Due to the significantly increased prices, a rather cheap round of golf is possible here in April 2023 for €65 per person with a shared buggy (twilight from 2 p.m.). Sporty people can also walk the hilly terrain.
It is practically continuous with fairly narrow fairways through dense peripheral development, which is usually very pretty to look at.
At around 5,100 m, the course is short but tricky. Long hitters should be very precise or use a long iron.
The condition was very good and the greens excellent, wavy and fast.
Very friendly staff on the nice club terrace and in the secretariat. A nice golf excursion with a very good price/performance ratio.

The place is entertaining, topographically interesting and pleasant to play on because the tracks allow some scattering. you can and may complete it on foot, which is easily possible in terms of the sporting requirements. the course is quite hilly and wavy and offers some very nice (signature) holes. the designer really made an effort and got a lot out of the landscape. the path description at each tee is very good.
the green fee is relatively cheap, but the place is not quite as spruced up as the others in the area. the quality was really impressive today. Tees, bunkers, fairways and the mostly undulating greens were in good condition today.
