Millennium course
2.0 of 5 starsReviewed September 14, 2010
I felt that this course was a tired design, simply to utilise ground that was left over when everything else was done.
There are some good holes but not enough to sustain the interest or maintain the challenge over 18 holes.
Skip it if visiting Villamoura for golf - there are much better courses about!

Not spectacular but okay
3.0 of 5 starsReviewed December 2, 2018
Played on 23.11.2018. The flat (cart not required) 18-hole course is located on the outskirts of the tourist town of Vilamoura in the immediate vicinity of the Laguna course, which shares the clubhouse and driving range. The Millennium course is by rating the easiest course of the Dom Petro facilities, which has also been confirmed in my game. Here also higher HC should be good overall. There are a few water hazards that you can easily avoid, otherwise the resort course runs past some mostly discreetly in the background standing villas and hotel complexes. The fairways are open, although sometimes more or less some ingrown pine trees come into play. I have managed, which rarely happens, not to meet a single bunker on the round, and so I would say they are available but have not come into play very much. Nursing was the most persistent of all courses ever played in the Algarve. No disaster, not least because of the heavy rains of the last few days, but especially in comparison, for example, the deductions were not mowed, some of them a bit battered and bunkers not prepared. In general, I had the impression that the greenkeeping on my morning round did not exist, possibly had been deducted to prepare the more expensive neighboring places first. Top maintained, despite the wet, and in good shape, were the greens. Negatively noticed is the street noise through the busy Estr. de Albufaira, which runs through the complex. Here, especially at the tracks 3,8, 11 and 14. The in my view a bit too high green fee of currently € 101 in November 2018, you pay in the beautiful clubhouse. From 12:50 pm as on all Dompedro sundowner tariff. The lady in the secretariat and the starter were very friendly. You can view and book tee times on the homepage. Again, at least in November, an early start time is recommended if you want to enjoy your round in peace and without pressure. In conclusion, I can say that you can play here, but there are better and more exciting facilities in the Algarve.

Definitely not a must

The place is rather boring, 8:15 even! The condition was in order, the greens give no cause for complaint. Still, there are much nicer places in the Algarve.

Boring, but well maintained
3.0 of 5 starsReviewed February 25, 2018
One of the three bread and butter courses of Vilamoura (Pinhal, Laguna, Millennium) and at the same time the most boring of them. At least the condition is good. Can you play, but you do not have to...

Neat place
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed January 16, 2018
For the beginning of January the place was in my view in very good condition. The greens were perfect and the tea boxes maintained. Of course, the long dryness has the fairways pretty much added in the last year, but I found them now really good again. The place is certainly not spectacular, made me and my wife a lot of fun. We would play him again at any time.

Pleasant November golf
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed November 3, 2017
After heavy thunderstorms on the eve we found today on 3.11.17 a good playable place. Rich fairways, decent greens and mowed T-boxes. The paths from hole to hole are sometimes quite far. If you are in the cart (40 euros) on the road, you therefore often on the Walker on. However, a look at the various dream villas shortens the waiting times. The course offers no real challenge - well, you want the second day?
The Marshall was omnipresent, the lady with the appetizer cart unobtrusive and pretty.
In the clubhouse dominate the English. The beer prices seem ok, according to the flow of beer.
Conclusion: we'll be back!

Beautiful Twilight Round
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed September 13, 2017
Played in September 2017 starting at 3pm (Twilight). Nothing to expose to fairways and greens (except bad or not at all distant pitch marks, but that is not the fault of the operator, but ...).
As a single player with buggy in 3 hours rumgekommen. Some buggy trails should be repaired once, especially around the clubhouse.
Marshall and drink buggy came regularly.
On the clubhouse terrace many Englishmen, who after their lap loudly together.
No idea what other players expect of change or tension from such a golf course, but I found the place absolutely in order, especially for the offered Twilight rate, and come gladly again.

One does not play

Miserable state scruffy fairways, boring holes. The worst place we in the area Vilamoura - have played Faro. Never again, and for so much money.

Can you play
3.0 of 5 starsReviewed February 16, 2016
But must not be.
The fact that the reductions in a pathetic disrepair were would still, however bumpy greens did not work.
Otherwise, an average place, a bit hilly and partly with long distances between the holes.

Disappointing
3.0 of 5 starsReviewed January 15, 2016
Unfortunately this year (turn of the year 15/16) the weakest place of our golf trip, place was unkempt foliage branches lay on the Fäirways, semi-rough too high, not a starter, so the whole made a run down impression, shame.

Better than expected
3.0 of 5 starsReviewed October 27, 2015
It was our first place we played in our Golfweek. For the first round perfect place to import. Not the burner but solid and honest. T boxes not optimal but otherwise in good condition and not a mistake to play this.

The worst place in the Algarve
1.0 of 5 starsReviewed October 23, 2015
This place should not necessarily play it. I played the course in Oct. 2015th The fairways and greens were in bad condition. Oceanico Millenium, the disappointment of the Algarve. Too expensive!

Beautiful 9!
2.0 of 5 starsReviewed April 28, 2014
The first 9 tracks are quite enjoyable and lined with beautiful trees!
The condition was very poor, as is the total deductions. Everything is crying out for water! What a pity!

Pure boredom
2.0 of 5 starsReviewed January 20, 2014
We played the square end of January 2014. The condition was ok. Otherwise, however, came only boredom. The paths between the individual tracks are sometimes quite long (have worn). In the first 9 is only 6 interesting. On the second nine, only the 17 and 18 Must not play again.

Actually 2 places
3.0 of 5 starsReviewed September 8, 2010
The course consists of the previous 9 of 9 newly built Laguna and holes from 2000 (hence Millennium) The new holes located in the pine forest (5) are interesting and fun. The second 9 by former Laguna are pleasant
